Oh, what about the 12 mimimum required sports for D-III schools with 1000 students that is coming up in Fall 2012?
I think Ralph was aware. :)
I read that part but people that don't know that 10 is the required amount right now might be questioning their eligibility for next year.
I think that it is clear now that it is 2012.  :)

Too bad we didn't have today's weather when UMHB played Whitewater!  ::)  It is getting really hot, so football season must be getting close.

Very dry wind gusts out of the south at 20-25.  Drying out the courses a little bit.

Probably getting good rolls on your drives and fairway shots.   ;)

HPU has their new athletic website up and running.  It looks great.

Yeah...

National Champs in Men's Outdoor Track and Field.

Next, we need one in football, volleyball, cross country and soccer.

I know they've been working on the website for a while and it's finally done.  They will also have livestats for the games next year.  I don't know if it's going to be a DIII requirement but livestats from what I've heard are going to be an ASC requirement soon.

Pat Coleman

Not a D-III requirement -- the NCAA doesn't regulate regular-season games like that.

I assume they will work it out by then but that could be a problem for UMHB football since I believe the field has no way of getting online.

:D :D :D

Yeah, that ought to be a real negative for any kid thinking about going to play football at UMHB! No LIVESTATS.  No ability to get online at the stadium!

That kid ought to look at McMurry!  Radio broadcasts!  Livestats!

:D :D :D

Pat Coleman

Livestats can be done via dialup, though it might be inconsistent.

A wireless broadband card can be acquired for a laptop.

I think a wireless broadband card would work in Belton.  ;)  That will be a nice feature to have for the games.

Toby Taff

Access could be gained at tiger field. Clearwire is in the area.  there are mobile broadband cards, and if umhb wanted to spend the money BISD could probably arrange it from one of the schools near by.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

How 'bout just building a stadium on campus?  I've driven around the campus several times and there's plenty of room for one over by the gymnasium...

Besides, Tiger Stadium just isn't right for the college game at the DIII level.

Naw.

Let's not encourage UMHB to do anything brings spirit and college environment to that little commuter (formerly girls') school in Belton.  A football championship, a men's hoops championship, a baseball divisional quad-championship, they sure are getting uppity.
