crufootball my apologies.  It was like it was your post that just through my frustration over the edge.  It was like it was one post after another from yessir and then yours just pushed me over the edge.  My apologies to you and to others on the board for my language.  Just frustrated with what was a very winable game for the Cowboys.  All year I had heard HSU offense very high octane and can score and the defense is what had the question mark.  Well the defense gave up yards but the also stepped up when needed and made stops and blocked field goals and the offense just did nothing with it.  As a defensive player just very frustrating.  Take care of business and do work the rest of the season Cowboys. 

I can promise this though Coach Keeling and Coach Fred arent even giving this game a thought today.  Coach K is all about ETBU and preparing for the game in Marshall this weekend.

BAM there he is...lucky we caught that error before he showed up Toby...could of really started something. Man that was a close call....speaking of close calls....I'm surprised the 4th down play at the end of the game hasn't been brought up yet....as there was a roar of "Boo's" coming from the super classy HSU bleachers...any input on the "spot" on that play. Seemed really close from where I was sitting....

I have plenty of friends homie....me and most of them were celebrating a Crusader victory saturday night....Unlike you im sure. Yall probably all got together and had a crying party. Prior to this post all I was talking about is football...I had moved on from the trash talking....but if you would like I can start up again....as I will never run out of bad things to say about HSU. Must I begin....

yessir, seriously grow up....no we werent crying actually we were sulking a little bit but who doesnt after a hard fought game like that.  Guess what its monday and HSU is now preparing for ETBU.  No time to let this bring us down.  Good luck to UMHB the rest of the year and hopefully we will get another go round in November.

It's hard to imagine a scenario where a 9-1 HSU doesn't get a pool C bid.

The AA doesn't decide who gets into the playoffs based on $$.  It doesn't hesitate to screw the participants after the selections are made, but I've never heard of a case where "X" didn't get a bid because they would have to fly everywhere.

I would have to agree. In my opinion at 9-1 they have to be among the top for a pool C bid.  Also, Millsaps offense putting up big numbers how good are the majors right now? Should be a great game between Millsaps and Trinity on November 1. How do you see the 9-1 scenario playing out for the SCAC?

Millsaps' defense might be as good as their offense - they put a major hurt on a pretty good DePauw team last weekend.  That said, Millsaps beat their SCAC opponents in a fairly similar manner last year and yet somehow let Trinity stay close in Jackson.   This is the first time in three years that Millsaps will travel to San Antonio and unless you're UMHB it's a hard place for visitors to win.  The Majors will probably be favored unless some key player(s) get injured, but the last SCAC home loss for Trinity came in 1995. 

If Millsaps wins out, a 9-1 Trinity could be on the bubble due to a weak non-conference competition (TLU and McMurry).   A 9-1 Millsaps with a W over Mississippi College would be in a better position.

This i know Pat which is why i changed my angle  since the last time you posted....yet people still have a problem with my posts just because i'm not a HSU fan, nor does everyone one of my opinions include flowered inscence and a thank you card. You asked me to talk sports and be respectful....I have done that. I really don't know what else you or anyone else wants from me...if there is a set criteria each post has to fit to be acceptable please send it my way because I missed the memo.

Is TU's field still grass....I know every game i played there the field was pretty bad...field turf would be a good upgrade to that stadium. I think it would fit their playing style as well. I know they have the money for it....

Any ETBU fans here this week? What are some things we can expect to see from the tigers this weekend? Good offense tough defense. I haven't heard much from ETBU posters this year and its obvious the program is back up again. Does ETBU carry the ball alot? Do they throw more? Looking forward to a good game two weeks in a row.
