d3 football playoff system is terrible, 6-4 teams get in because of conf champs?? but better teams are left on the outside, makes no sense to me, i am sure there is an answer

I think winning your conference should mean something.  Win your conference and you don't have to rely on an at large selection.  There will always be good teams left out as a result.  I don't think members of the same conference should have to play in the first round.

and didn't all the one loss teams get in too?  If you have two losses and don't get in you really don't have much room to complain.

Allow me my one moment:

Eff the AA.   >:(

I'm better now.

Ralph, PM me if you still want to go with me on Saturday.

Josh, during all of the McM mascot hoopla I thought of a great cheer, "Foo Ah AH" (think FUAA) to the caricaturized rhythmic indian drum beat cartoons use.  I could see it applying to the Texas Sub Bracket
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

At least the ASC teams will each get at least one home game, depending upon Saturday's outcome.

This really screws up my holiday plans if HSU wins  :P, works out perfectly if UMHB wins :D.  I'll be in Killeen for thanksgiving so a trip to Belton is real easy.  I won't get to go Saturday because I had already planned to participate in a camp out at Abilene State Park, and I have to preach in Vernon on Sunday.  Too much time in the car.  I guess the UMHB-HSU jobbing is a good thing for me, I get to have a radio broadcast I can hear.

The CRU is healthy, everyone is back but Daniels on Offense, not sure is Salinas will be back on Defense yet?

WOW what a suprise this playoff selection was... UMHB vs HSU in the first round... Unheard of. I'm not sure if this playoff thing is a good or bad idea. I'm hoping for an HSU win this weekend. Go cowboys.

TrickyTroy

Think of it this way the south final will be millsap vs ASC. The battle cry "Remember Trinity" ;D
Millsap, MHB, HSU are the best in the bracket by far(sorry for the mules) I'm still rooting for HSU all the way. Hope I can make the game.  ???

HSUcheermom

I am looking forward to watching an HSU victory in Belton and then seeing them playing at home in the second round of playoffs.  GO COWBOYS!!!!!!

Well i can definitely say i expect a much different outcome for HSU in the playoffs. I just hate to see the brackets put up this way but i guess we should all be use to it by now. i was hoping to see 2 texas teams make it out of round 1.

TrickyTroy

Any predictions on the game,
Mine 28- 24 HSU wins  ??? I wish they just but us on oppisite sides so we have a All-texas south final

I think that the 2nd Trinity loss did us in!

As I listened to the Selection podcast, Curry, a weak 1-loss team from the NEFC made the playoffs.  Had TU beaten Centre, then we could have seen a Millsaps-LaGrange/UMHB-TU bracket and HSU be flown to the West Coast (as a travel orphan).

Bus LaGrange to Millsaps
Bus Trinity to UMHB.

Top seeds win and bus UMHB to Millsaps.

HSU, the travel orphan, could have been flown to the West Coast.

No home game there, but a chance to play outside of Texas.  (Lots of experience for the Cowboys!)

HSU, don't y'all have a plane flight non-conference game next year?
