Rookie camp is underway for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Jerrell Freeman must be doing well. He is mentioned in the battle for the linebacker position around the two minute mark of this video.

Jerrell also got some friends on the team as Justin Beaver and AJ Raebel of UW-Whitewater signed on Wednesday to play for the team as well.

Lindy's Sports Annual also came out recently and had UMHB at #7 and HSU at #15. The only article written about DIII was about UMHB titled "Division III Finds Strongholds Deep In Heart of Texas", the article does mention that HSU and Trinity have helped that fact.

The UMHB-HSU game is also one of five games spotlighted as The Big Ones. Tan Stokes of ETBU was named the newcome of the year.

One thing I found interesting was the Sporting News poll had UW-Whitewater as #1 and Mount Union as #2. MUC did lose a lot but I couldn't believe they didn't take the poll position.

With Feaster coming back at QB, I'd have to give the edge to HSU.

My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Is there anyway we can talk Feaster into leaving school early?  I really don't want to see him anymore.

Other than Dave Campbells magazine, are there any other magazines that preview and predict the ASC?

It seems to me that the HSU QBs play for 7 or 8 years, then graduate to collect their pension.   ;)  At least the good ones and they have had several of those.

Yes, Kickoff 2009, the e-zine that Pat Coleman produces and releases about August 25th.

The Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL just made their first major cut and it appears Jerrell Freeman of UMHB has made the cut.  He is not on the most current transaction list at http://www.riderville.com/news/press_releases/3259/.  Justin Beaver (RB) of Whitewater made the practice team, Juan Joseph (QB) of Millsaps was released and A. J. Raebel (LB) of Whitewater was released earlier after trying to make the team as a defensive end.
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

Just a note for some of you out there that have not heard that Susan Keeling is battling colorectal cancer. She started Chemo treatments this week and the family has setup a page at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/skeeling which you will have to setup a user name and password. Please keep Susan, Jimmie and the family in your prayers at this time.
