As an ASC fan, I want the CRU to continue to dominate.

The national (Top 25) voters recognize tough conferences.

2004  UMHB #2, HSU #4

2005  MUC #1 Capital (10-3) #5 -- All three losses came to OAC foes.

2006  MUC #1 Capital (11-2)  #3  -- Both losses to MUC.

Go CRU!!! Go ASC!!!

Toby Taff

cru30,

I can say that I think HSU is the better team.  In fact I had that discussion with other Cru fans sitting in Belton watching the Cru pound Wesley.  Just like I can say with confidence that UMHB is better than Southern Oregon, but guess what...not on that day.  And for the record I am focused on the UWW game, but it seems however that there are posters on here who don't have the grace to let people vent.  The Cru is playing again next week, why do you care if an HSU supporter thinks about what could have been?
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Ralph,

I may add McM to the list of ASC schools attended.  I may go through their fastrac certification program.

It helps with sports such as basketball (M/W), baseball, M/W T&F and M/W CC!   :D

Cowboy thanx for your kindness (Go get my gift) ....Toby you can't say that HSU is better than Wesley or W&J when you didn't play them so stop...I can't say that we are better than another team based on how the team that we LOST to TWICE decides to blow the other team out ok. Lets focus the the team at hand which is Whitewater ok and not the ONE and DONE Cowboys.

cru30,  If you have seen all three Cru playoff games, then you would know that HSU would have beaten both Wesley and W&J.  It is a good thing for the ASC to have 2 great teams this year.

I hope UMHB can turn the tables on UWW this year.  IF they play like they've been playing, I expect them to win and advance to the Stagg Bowl.

I would also like to see UMHB turn the tables on UWW this year.  In fact, I plan on going to watch the game.  I watched the game in Belton a couple of years ago, and I watched the semi game on the internet last year.  Both teams are programs that deserve the respect that they are given.   UMHB players and coaches definitely respect the UWW football program, which I can say with confidence after conversations with both Cru players and coaches.  I am looking forward to seeing a great game in Belton this week.  I am glad the Cru kept winning so I would be able to see them in action this year.  This will be my first game to attend this year, and I am anxious to see the 2008 edition of the CRU in person.  Good luck to all players and coach at UMHB.  Safe travel to all UWW players, coaches, and supporters that will be making the trip to Belton.

does anybody know when all region selections come out??

wesleydad

umhb and hsu folk, i never realized how much you all seem to dislike each other.  we have a rivalry with salisbury, but the bantor never gets this personal.

roocru, read your response to muledaddy on the CC site.  it is hard for some people to realize how good some of these other teams are and that a national ranking only is that and nothing more.  wesley found that out the last 4 years as they reached the top 5 each time only to lose badly to a better team.  for some teams trying to make the jump to the next level, a high national ranking is all they have to hold onto.  wesley has learned that and hopefully can maintain the level that has been set these past 4 years.

see you in a couple of weeks.

I don't think many of the average fans in the Pennsylvania area understand their vulnerability to speed as a style of play or as a general team attribute, especially the combination of size and speed that UMHB and HSU have.  W&J thought they saw speed/quickness at Millsaps.  I think that UMHB is at an entirely different level now.

Good luck and enjoy 2009!

I think that Wesley matches up well with Texas teams because of your team speed.

D O.C.

I predict the Stagg Bowl champion will again have purple jerseys in it's arsenal....

KitchenSink

I'll predict the runner-up will, too ...
What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

Bob.Gregg

Congrats to the Crusaders.

Not shocked by the result, perhaps the size, but that only somewhat.

Best wishes the next two weeks.
Been wrong before.  Will be wrong again.
