@d3jason

The other three kids are seniors, who tend to get more love from voters.

I'd be hard pressed to name one W&J starter that was better than his counterpart on UMHB.

Not that I agree, but the D3 All-Region list might help you.

And yes, in this particular instance, I'm being a smackoff!  Hope you see the joke!

Little surprised/disappointed that Justin Feaster, the ASC Offensive Player of the Year and Gagliardi Trophy finalist, was left off the All Region Team...   :-\   :o
W & J scores 7 on UMHB and they have 5 second teamers on offense. UMHB scores 63 on W & J and 46 on Wesley and they get only 2 on offense----- "Lucy you got some splaning to do".

Your top running back started three regular-season games at the position and even to this date has started less than half of UMHB's games at running back. He wasn't really even eligible to be nominated. You don't have receivers to nominate. That leaves the quarterback and the line. Quarterback is hard enough to crack as it is in this region. So ... here we are.

Donovan's not in the same class as Feaster in terms of Feaster's ability to buy more time by scrambling but Donovan has a superior line compared to HSU.

I guess what I'm saying about Donovan is that he's not going to be a game breaker with his scrambling ability but if you give him 10-15 yards to run he'll can and will get there.

Woah woah woah woah woah I'm going to have to disagree with that. They may be bigger but for HSU's style of play they had unbelievable o-lineman! All-Region does good at showing that with 3 of them on the team plus our Tight End. Speaking of the All-Region team......WOWWWW! Justin Feaster ASC Offensive player of the year and doesn't get on the team!! I understand there are great qb's on the list dont get me wrong, but this guy was the leader of one of the best offenses in D3. This is a huge disappointment of a player well deserving of that team. But it'll be ok, he's a junior and he has def. proven himself this year and will be amazing next year. Good luck to him in his quest for the G-Trophy! Good luck cru this weekend....represent the ASC  ;D ;D

As usual Pat you are correct in your summation. UMHB doesn't have any vote worthy all region candidates, just a bunch of winners.

Based on the play last Saturday, I would say the All Region team is a little off.  ;)

We didn't just agree on something, did we?  ;) :D

Here's another one:  Go Cru!

Ever the diplomat, Bill. The team that lost 63-7 last week placed 5 players in the offense top 26 and the team that won 63-7 placed 2. I guess the voters don't have to consider head to head matchups.

Pat Coleman

Nor are two offenses on the field at the same time. Do you suppose the fact that UMHB had three first-teamers on defense and W&J had none was a factor here?

Do you know when the nomination deadline was and when the voting took place?

MUC57

Cru Fans,

Congrats on making another semifinal. Your program has certainly proven to be one of the top in the country.

Most of us here at Mount Union think you'll handle UWW this weekend. Now, if MUC can beat Wheaton , that means we'll see you in the Stagg Bowl. That thought does not give me that warm inner glow! No, no, I'm not still thinking about 2004 (although I remember it like yesterday - It wasn't yesterday was it?).

We have a lot of respect for UMHB and it's many accomplishments on the gridiron.
We wish you good luck this Saturday.

See you in Salem????
I'm old! I get mixed up and I forget things! Go Everybody! 🏈 ☠

Pat, my only point is they didn't look like a team with 5 All Region offensive players.  I realize everyone can't be seen in person.

crufootball

Being listed on the All-Region team is great, but I am pretty sure all of the W&J players would trade it all for a chance to playing this weekend. The Cru have not had the stand outs they have had in the past, they are winning this year because they are one of the best teams. The only regional award the team cares about at the moment is the South Region title which they won last week.

@d3jason

I think Feaster will get a lot of love next year if he has another great season. The other three are seniors and they tend to get more votes in such selections. Coaches also push them more (or nominate) than underclassmen. Voters (Coach, SID or media) usually go with a senior over an underclassmen.

From what I recall is that the deadline was "I think" November 26th so therefore they only got to see round one of the playoffs. So maybe that will tone down the complaining...maybe! But anyways pat, i'm assuming all american comes out after the stagg bowl sometime???

another win for the cru, you deserved it. i mean, you only played the WORST teams on the way to the Stagg. seriously, how much easier can it get? well, its gonna be a whole nother story come this weekend against the warhawks. big, strong, and WHITE. the o-line is going to busy this weekend, busy picking Seanz up off his back. gonna be a long day against these cheese fed white boys. and how many times can your starting RB get knocked unconscious only to put your 8th string guy in there? apparently alot. the ISO ain't gonna work this week, Pete. Coach DKR once said "dance with one who brung ya". you can't dance with a date who can't see straight. after watching the past two games i don't see why teams aren't throwing the ball all over this cru secondary. small, slow, and weak in my opinion. a long ways away from the cru defenses of old. get your mind right cru. these boys will be your huckleberry.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA that was pretty funny. kinda gay but funny!! I'm an HSU fan but this def. gets me rooting for UMHB....Go embarass those dude like you did the past 2 teams!! Good luck!
