another win for the cru, you deserved it. i mean, you only played the WORST teams on the way to the Stagg. seriously, how much easier can it get? well, its gonna be a whole nother story come this weekend against the warhawks. big, strong, and WHITE. the o-line is going to busy this weekend, busy picking Seanz up off his back. gonna be a long day against these cheese fed white boys. and how many times can your starting RB get knocked unconscious only to put your 8th string guy in there? apparently alot. the ISO ain't gonna work this week, Pete. Coach DKR once said "dance with one who brung ya". you can't dance with a date who can't see straight. after watching the past two games i don't see why teams aren't throwing the ball all over this cru secondary. small, slow, and weak in my opinion. a long ways away from the cru defenses of old. get your mind right cru. these boys will be your huckleberry.

What are you talking about?  Haven't played anyone?  We beat an HSU team that was ranked in the top 10.  We beat a Wesley team that has been to the 2nd or 3rd round nearly every season in like the last 5.  We beat a W&J team down after they throttled the #1 seed.  Who did you play that was ranked?  If anyone has had a tougher schedule in the post season, I haven't seen it.
SRX16 you must be from Wisconsin. Reminder that white stuff outside is snow, obviously you must be sticking your head in it and thinking it is some other white powder. Go ask Wesley and WJ about our small, slow weak db's. Go ahead and throw, we don't mind pick sixes.

Being listed on the All-Region team is great, but I am pretty sure all of the W&J players would trade it all for a chance to playing this weekend.

Every single one of them.
Been wrong before.  Will be wrong again.

Maybe Pat can provide some insight. Just looked at the D3 Coach of the Year Nominees and am disappointed Coach Fredeburg was not nominated.
Who makes these choices? With the attrition and all of the injuries UMHB has been through I think this is one of his finest coaching seasons and thought he should have been nominated.
Okay, this is getting a little bit old...   :-\

Yes, you UMHB fans are having fun.  Sure, he may have been nominated, but what did Coach Fred do this year that was remarkable and breakthrough in nature?  Is the talent cupboard so barren at UMHB that the CRU doesn't have the depth to plug those holes?  Apparently not.

UMHB's pre-season ranking was #3.    No surprise so far.

UMHB has been one of the programs that has been a premier program for this decade.  Still a premier program.

Headed back to the Stagg Bowl?  Are we really surprised by that?  If he wins on Saturday, no.

What did the "Coach of the Year" do?  Todd Mooney took a program that had never won a game in the two previous years since he started the program and went 9-1 in the regular season, losing only to a scholarship NAIA program.  LaGrange made it to the playoffs in its 3rd year of football.   :)

The SID's and D3football.com staff who voted on the award are acknowledging something that is Coach Fred did back in 2001.  Been there. Done that and has the game program to prove it.

Ralph- I didn't say he should win. How many times do you see a well established coach do a great job of coaching and not win coach of the year? Coach K at Duke; Belichek at NE; Torre when he was with the Yankees. Just beacuse a team has a high ranking doesn't mean the coach did not have to overcome obstacles to get his team to this point. That is all I am saying, recognition on the national level for overcoming adversity.

Good afternoon, crudbdad.

We don't know that he was not nominated.   :)

I am taking it the other way.  UMHB has so much depth, that the 8th string RB, who just happens to be good enough to be a starting LB, can move over to the offense, behind an offensive line that would open holes big enough for you and me to gain yardage.    :D

That is what is so frustrating about playing football in the ASC with HSU and UMHB!  Below the top two, we have so much parity that a team struggles to put 7-3 seasons back-to-back!   ;)

Ralph- good point; we do not know if he was nominated. Speak for yourself but I am too old and slow to run through those big holes the O-line makes... :D
