Wesleydad,

You are a class act and I look forward to your posts.  Be safe traveling to Alliance.  I look forward to hearing your opinion/analysis of the Purple Raiders v. Thunder game.

Non-football related.  How about this Texas weather. Southeast Texas experiences a hurricane four months ago, and 3-4 inch snow fall yesterday.  I guess the saying is still true...if you do not like the weather stay five more minutes because it will change.   ;)

Little surprised/disappointed that Justin Feaster, the ASC Offensive Player of the Year and Gagliardi Trophy finalist, was left off the All Region Team...   :-\   :o
W & J scores 7 on UMHB and they have 5 second teamers on offense. UMHB scores 63 on W & J and 46 on Wesley and they get only 2 on offense----- "Lucy you got some splaning to do".

Your top running back started three regular-season games at the position and even to this date has started less than half of UMHB's games at running back. He wasn't really even eligible to be nominated. You don't have receivers to nominate. That leaves the quarterback and the line. Quarterback is hard enough to crack as it is in this region. So ... here we are.
As usual Pat you are correct in your summation. UMHB doesn't have any vote worthy all region candidates, just a bunch of winners.
I am actually more suprised the UMHB band didnt get any kind of honorable mention or anything for all their hard work. I have to say I am a bit disappointed in Division III Football, even Third Team Special Teams would have been fine but to get nothing for all the talk about them all season is a travesty :D

Temperature should be perfect tomorrow.  Might be a little windy.

Sounds like Cru-like conditions.  The wind swirling, our defense swarming.

Cowboy thanx for your kindness (Go get my gift) ....Toby you can't say that HSU is better than Wesley or W&J when you didn't play them so stop...I can't say that we are better than another team based on how the team that we LOST to TWICE decides to blow the other team out ok. Lets focus the the team at hand which is Whitewater ok and not the ONE and DONE Cowboys.

ohhh its awesome hearing an old umhb player that never really did something try really hard to relive the old days!! Just root on your team buddy and support the conference just like everyone else is doing. Good luck this weekend!!

Mr. Fan...Im not trying to relive the old days becuase in my OLD days we beat your butts like a drum...on our way to the national championship...but when you all get there..then write back...i guess I won't hear from you for a while.

cru30

Sorry again..I did...but hey lets go cru this weekend.

BoBo

Good luck to both teams tomorrow and everyone traveling to the game from all parts.

Cru fans, plez be kind to my brother, cousin and families coming to the game from Fort Hood and the Houston area.  If you see them, say hello; they won't be hard to find (my brother is an Army Lt. Col. - he'll be the one with just a slice off the top, and their boys are all chips off the ol'block!!)  ;).  Here's a family portrait:

Thanks CRU96...they really love it in Texas, but they're Wisconsinites at heart...I'm sure they will have a good time, win or lose!!  Good luck to the CRU, but better luck to the Warhawks!!  ;)

I understand myself.  I am from Texas and I am a Texan at heart.  I would not want to change that a bit. Nor would I try to change them. Home is where the heart is.  Best of luck to the Warhawks as well, and Go Cru!

Gig Harbor Cat

Good luck to the Cru tomorrow, from this NW Cat

It should be noted that with Fort Hood being 20 minutes away, crew cuts, and high and tight hair cuts are pretty nondescript in Belton.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

CRU96

Toby,

I preferred the high and tight growing up.  I still do.  Nevertheless, you are right my friend, the high and tight and crew cuts are the style of the area.

Now it is time for some purpleCrush...unleash the power boys its gameday!
