Does anyone know if Quincy Daniels will be in a CRU uniform for the '09 season?

he should since he was a junior this year.  might be a junior again if he gets the redshirt.

Bill, I feel it is hard to unseat the CRU until it is done on the field. I know UMHB has already began preparations for another national championship run in 09. Recruiting will be huge along with the offseason. Going for five straight conference championships next season.

HSU gets Feaster back and I think that gives them the edge at this time.  Your right, it will have to be done on the field.  Can't wait to make the trip to Abilene next year for another great game in this rivalry.

yessir, I hope you are right, but I would put HSU first, particularly with Feaster returning at QB.  UMHB 2nd, MC third, and then LC and ETBU.  I'm ready for it to get started again.
However, UMHB is also getting Quincy back next year, which should even things out a bit. Should make for an interesting season indeed.

Congrats to MUC; glad you guys beat uww for us.

Congrats to MUC, maybe one day the rest of D3 will figure out how to beat you guys two years in a row.

On a side note to UMHB fans, I discovered Freddie Rollins had some good success in AFL2. He appears to have gained a few pounds since his UMHB days but at least he is still getting to play ball.

Rollins was a load in college, but 6'1" 275! :o  That's bigger than some o-line players.  I found him listed at 235 after his playing days at UMHB.  It also says he play RB and LB
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I predict UMHB beating HSU at Shelton in the regular season and then again in Belton in the postseason.....UMHB wins the conference and HSU comes in second again....other than that...it's anyone's guess.

that was quite a suprise pick Yessir never would have expected that from you. My pic is that HSU Beats UMHB next year. They play close at home but they win the Texas Sub bracket. That way when UMHB is at home you can still say they won a conference Championship. Then everyone is happy. You UMHB fans sure are cocky for a team that won a conference title by a total of 2 points and extended a playoff run by a total of 3. Wish you had tried the onsides kick at either HSU game could have made for a more interesting season. Oh well here's to the offseason and practicing onsides kicks. practice makes perfert.

Quincy is a great player and not having him this season no doubt hurts but i'm not sure he evens things out at all. If quicny were the QB then it might even things out but there is no denying that Feaster is a playmaker. Quincy can only have some many touches. Not sure you are comparing apples to apples there. But i can agree he is a great player and having him back next season surely won't hurt.

Is he looking for one?  I was under the impression that he wasn't.

I dont' recall us being cocky!!  If anything, we have continually praised HSU for being an outstanding team and one that we hold in high regard!  I believe that we have had the MO on our side. It won't always be that way, I know, but we are proud for having done it!

The fact of the matter is UMHB won both games and is the conference champion.  Doesn't really matter by how many points.  A win is a win and a loss is a loss.  HSU had a great team, but UMHB has certainly dominated this series for the last few years.  Why would UMHB have tried an onsides kick against HSU?

As I stated earlier, my pick at this time would be HSU going into next season.  That doesn't take anything away from what UMHB has accomplished.

HSWho2007

The cowboys giving advice on kickers? Didn't y'all blame your kicker for the loss during the regular season. The cowboys are going to get drummed next year in Abilene ( a place UMHB hasn't lost at since 2001). Quote me on it this October.

And Toby, BTW Freddie was around 260 his senior year at UMHB, he was at his best during his sophomore year around 230.

There wasn't a need for an onside kick in either HSU game this year.....that was a weapon we didn't have to bring out to get that victory. Regardless if you win by 1 or 70...it's still a win so I don't see what your point is. HSU has historically had great QB's....that's nothing new. Something they haven't had since 2004 is a victory over UMHB....rather in Belton or in Shelton. UMHB's offense doesn't rely on an outstanding QB...it relies on a great Offensive line...and good running backs. UMHB's offensive strength has always been in it's o-line.....If UMHB's online wins the battle up front then 99% of the time it will be a victory....if they don't then they lose.....perfect example is UWW. Every year i've seen them play UMHB, UWW defensive line has caused problems for UMHB's o-line. UMHB has also been fortunate enough to suit up some great running backs in the past....put those strenght's together and you have a team that has dominated the ASC for the past 4 years. So if I was HSU I would start recruiting some good d-lineman...it faired well for yall in 04...atleast for the first game.  ;D
Walking on thin ice cuz someone lost......again.
