HSU Football Commit

Oh well he sounds like quite the hoss haha. Iam excited to meet him. I play everywher. OL/DL LB FB everything so we will probably get the chance to hit each other. Iam excited to continue the legacy that is HSU football with him this next year and I hope we will maybe get to play on that Purple Reign defense together

crufootball

Thanks HSU Commit for answering and again I wish you good luck next year with the exception of October 3rd and if the trend continues November 21st in the playoffs.

One other question, you have mentioned the Purple Reign defense is this a new name for the HSU defense or just something I have never heard?

HSU Football Commit

Purple reign is a nickname that has started after the defense went through its makeover a couple years ago after it was giving up 48 points a game... its something that's hasn't really gotten started yet...  it was just to give the defense an identity after being terrible for a while so its just a new nickname

HSWho2007

Purple reign seriosly? Only one season removed from being the worst defense in the NATION.  ::)

Reign: dominating power or influence.... Hardly.  ???

Well I am not sure how UMHB will compete. I bet they are just resting on their laurels and getting soft and fat.  :-*

Look iam above talking down about an opponet. So talk all you want. HSU football players, coaches, and students have class so I really dont wanna talk trash with you. So if your gonna talk trash go ahead but that makes us look good and you look cocky and arrogant. The taller you are the harder you fall HSWho2007

Good job ASC fans, the ASC comes in second place for football attendance. MC was third in the nation, UMHB was in the top 20 and HSU and ETBU were also in the Top 50.

That is good news about attendance for the ASC.  Does that include playoff games?
I'm sure that helps attendance numbers.

QuoteThe Division III tournament had 54,606 total fans for a 1,761 average over 31 games.

I don't think so.  Only UMHB had home playoff games.

crufootball

I am not sure how the  numbers were put together but I do know that for UMHB's average attendance the playoff games were included which actually hurt our numbers.

If you just count regular season games, UMHB would have aveaged 4,011 fans compared to the 3,354 fans if you include playoff games. Every playoff game had lower attendance than the average except the UW-Whitewater game, which I guess makes sense since the fans would have had to get on a plane to make the game.

CALL IT WHATEVER YOU WANT. IT WAS A VASTLY IMPROVED DEFENSE THIS YEAR AND SHOULD BE VERY STRONG AGAIN NEXT YEAR. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE. WHEN DO SPRING PRACTICES KICK OFF. MY TWO YEAR OLD CAN'T WAIT FOR FOOTBALL SEASON SO HE CAN GO TO AN HSU GAME. WE TRAIN EM EARLY OUT WEST.

I agree i have played against some of the DL and LB that HSU signed this years and theyre some studs just not big... I think the UMHB HSU game will be insane and I hope i can play in it! I hope ot get to meet you and your son sometime

HSWho2007

This will be a big year for UMHB. Lets see how they fill the gaps in the offensive and defensive lines. The O-Line has to replace 3 guards. The defensive line graduated the defensive tackles and one defensive end. Not to say there weren't other areas affected by graduation, but as we all know the games are won up front. That has been how UMHB has controlled most of their games.

The defense has a long way to go, particularly against the run.   ;)

UMHB's season will depend on how well they fill these holes.

So are there any players out there trying to get drafted or signed this year?
