Gray Fox

This young cowboy walks into a seedy cafe in a small town in
>West Texas.
>
>             He sits at the counter and notices an older cowboy with his
>arms folded    staring blankly at a bowl of chili. After about 15 minutes of
>just sitting    there staring at it, the young cowboy bravely asks, "if you
>ain't goin to      eat that, mind if I do"?
>
>             The older cowboy slowly turns his head toward the young
>wrangler and   in his best cowboy manner states "Nah, go ahead".
>
>             Eagerly, the young cowboy reaches over and slides the bowl
>over to his    place and starts spooning it in with delight. He gets nearly
>down to the   bottom and notices a dead mouse in the chili.
>
>             The sight was shocking and he immediately pukes up the chili
>into the   bowl.

The old cowboy quietly says, "Yep, that's as far as I got, too".

Last year UMHB scrimmaged a team from Mexico.  Is that in the works again this year?
They will scrimmage a team from Mexico again this year. Not sure of the date, my guess would be 9/3-4.

Thanks for that Gray Fox....i'm still laughing
i'm from right outside of Phila. and here's another one for you.
They changed Michael Vicks number from #7 to K-9

An article about the first day of camp @ UMHB.  The Cru picked up an interesting transfer to add some more to the running game.

Interesting indeed, I can't believe the MC folks will be happy about losing Mays but I am sure happy about it.

used2b

seems like losing Mays would be a big blow to MC.?
Now there is even more pressure on Schaeffer.(sp).
It would appear, from this point of view, That MC is just going to miss a window of opportunity. Previous year's they have had the Receivers, other's the QB, last year-maybe a running game. But not the whole picture.

Anyone else see it this way?

Another reason why our conference needs to adopt a 1 year sit rule for in conference transfers.  Why this hasnt been done is a joke.

If he and daniels get pt and run all over the conference you might see that question raised, but I doubt it.

I don't know about this being a blanket policy, but when you see someone transfer as a senior it makes you wonder.  How many credit hours will Mays lose by transferring at this point in his college career?

Pat Coleman

There are a few D-III conferences, but not many, that have a policy like that in place.

Ron Boerger,
In my experience, these who transfer with such little eligibility, always had a minimum amount of hours for their classification. Basically they just kept eligible and then at Christmas dissapeared. No graduation.

About as many as all the rest of the "seniors" that change their major....again ;) But seriously you are correct, a blanket policy might not be a great idea since some students actual do want/need to transfer for various reason.

Here's a Temple Daily Telegram on Quincy Daniels.  Says he is 90-95% now.  It also says that Matt Hurst Aerttrail Robinson and John Hamilton did not return to UMHB

I dont see why a blanket policy with an appeals process couldnt work.  Some kids do have legit reasons, some just go to be a winner.  I have no problems with either, I just think they should pay a price to transfer in conference.  If they want to go out of conference they can. If they have a legit reason the conference has smart enough people to sort through the legit transfers and they can be allowed immediate transfer.
