LC is extremely athletic.....  ??? I know they were looking better last year when we faced them.

Good news Cru fans, Munoz returns this week against TLU.  You can read that and more here:http://www.tdtnews.com/story/2009/09/15/60650

Division III Committee on Infractions Issues Decision on Wesley College

Mmmnn.  It sounds like they may have been giving "athletic scholarships."  It worked because they were very good.

Missing from the NCAA findings were a quantitative measure of any possible difference in aid received.  Yes, more received additional aid after the appeal, but what was the average aid package for a footballer vs. a non-athlete?  That would be interesting information to have.

Would also be interesting to know how many of the non-appealers received a full ride, and again vs. the general student populace.
No football player or any other athlete received any more aid than it was determined that they were eligible for. As I understand it, the school was giving out packages that were less than what students qualified for. You could appeal to try to get the full amount.

Glad to hear that as our backup seemed hesitant on pat and field goals. He had good depth on his kickoffs, but seemed to be aiming his other kicks. Hopefully this is a "teachable moment" for Munoz, Bristow and their teammates.

Something must have been going on or they wouldn't have recieved sanctions

I interpreted the infraction to be one of processes.

There was a process of appeal that was not uniformly known to all students across the campus.

A disproportionate number of appeals were processed on student-athletes versus non-student-athletes.

That is great news for the Cru, the one field goal attempt we had at SNU was not very pretty.

Given the turn of events in McMinnville on Saturday, I am going out on a limb and going to predict that LC goes to Abilene this weekend and comes back to Central Louisiana with a win.

I hope that you are right in your prediction.

i also saw that bristow is still serving his suspension.  it is always good to have a good kicker, hopefully the back up will continue to get better.

Munoz is the best kicker I've seen play for UMHB.  I'd like to see him with a punter like Hambrick.  That would be a formidible kicking game

LC has pretty good team speed and some experience at the skill positions. The running backs are quick and run hard - not too big tough. The defense has been improving season to season. I think Coach Dunn realizes that he has to have a solid defense to win in the ASC. The QB from 2 seasons ago is back after sitting out last season serving a suspension. They played HSU tough last year at home. I won't be surprised if LC wins. Whatever the outcome, I think it will be a good ballgame.

I have a new interest in LC since some kids who played with my son in high school are now wearing the orange and blue. I still bleed purple and gold, however, Up with the Purple!

LC winning in Abilene would certainly shake up the ASC.  I will be very surprised if HSU does not win.  That being said, I would think that if Feaster is out, LC has as good a chance as ever to win the game.  Wish I could be there to see the game.

UMHB has had some very good kickers.  I thought he was very good from what I saw last year.

I did not listen to the UMHB game this past Saturday. Somebody mentioned to me that Bryson Tucker might have left the game with an injury. Anything to this? If so, any one know his status?

Speaking of LC, they have a new weekly show that you can watch to get some insight into the program ... IF you have Adobe Flash Player installed.
