This will be a telling week for the ASC in my opinion.
MHB @ HSU - The top 2 teams for the last 7-8 years, although big question mark with HSU performance so far this year. I understand the injuries, but HSU in the past would send in the 1A team and keep on beating everyone but MHB.  HSU takes definite pride at home.
MC @ LC - The 2 teams that seem to be striving to get to the top tier of the conference with the winner possibly taking over the 2nd best team status.
ETBU @ McM - McM has competed much better this year with should of/could of games against a Trinity (appears to be not as strong as normally are) and Austin College (disappointing loss but appear to be better team this year).  Time for McM to get a big win.

amazing how quickly people forget. HSU has been VERY DOMINATE in the last 20 years. Cant believe this site. Think about it this way D3 fans if UMHB wins out and is down next year you fall completely off the D3 map. If LC or MC makes it to the top tier and then HSU is back next year you still get no respect. I think it is really sad how slanted this site is. NO respect from me. Good Luck Cowboys.

Seriously, I don't think anything rude was meant by that.  These are the same guys who had HSU as a top 5 team and who still had HSU in the top 25 after a loss to Linfield.  These guys recognize the importance of Feaster and Robbins to the Cowboys team.  They're special players with the ability to change a game.  Realistically there aren't that many players on any D3 team that fill that bill, and when you lose 2 at the beginning of the season (as well as Defensive players) it really is what's left of the team.

I'm a crusader fan, no surprise, but I'm pulling for HSU on every other weekend and at games when we're both in town.  If UMHB had the same type of injury situation and was so heavily influenced by the skill positions, it could easily be "what's left of UMHB."  HSU will win its share of games this season, and no doubt they will be loaded for bear and bitter about this year next season and when they are, HSU will get the same respect they have for as long as I have been following D3 football

HAHAHAHAHAHA....I take a couple shots at HSU on the forums and I get warned...Pat takes a huge shot at them on the front page and just laughs it off...Awesome...I knew I liked you Pat. HAHAHA...HSU has been dominate in the last years except for the last 6 years they played UMHB...so I would say that HSU has been semi-dominate with loses to UMHB over the last 20 years...but who's counting UMHB Wins over HSU (ME)...I wish both teams the best of luck tomorrow...hopefully it is a thrashing but you never know...them Cowboys always got a trick up their sleeve...I remeber that one year they tried going through our locker during the first half...but Mr. Patron wasnt gonna let that happened. The HSU comment aside (not a headline I would have chosen), injuries are part of the game... ask UMHB about last season, the CRU knows all too well about injuries. UMHB resembled a MASH unit last year... not only did UMHB lose an All-American running back but most of the back-ups as well. A stellar defensive back - Bryson Tucker - was even moved to running back to help the cause. When I watched UMHB vs LC some key defensive players were out as well. In spite of the injuries the CRU found ways to win and kept rolling along, albeit a little bumpy at times, right into the semi-finals.

I hate it when any player gets hurt. It is especially tough when key players go down. I hate it mostly for the individual player, especially at DIII and the high school level. At those levels 99.9 % of those guys are out busting their butts because they simply love to play the game.

The injuries to HSU have been unfortunate. The fact is they have to find ways to win. Time will tell if that will happen. And today will be very revealing.

UMHB vs HSU is an intense rivalry. Enough said. I expect Cowboy pride will have HSU ready to play. The CRU needs to be ready for anything and everything.

You guys are making a lot out of nothing.  It is a fact that a very promising HSU season has been hurt by injuries.  Not the same team that started the year ranked so high.  We'll see how the replacements do and I have no doubt that HSU will continue to play hard.  To call Pat and his staff "bandwagonners" is absurb.  Thanks to Pat and his staff we have a place to follow D3 football and discuss it in depth.
