The NCAA must be going nuts with no possible HSU-UMHB matchup in the first round.   ;)

I also think that Millsaps may not be available to be the first round opponent either.

Thanks for the props TigerDad. I had a great time in Abilene. Would love to make it to San Antonio someday, since I missed Wesley's trip there in 2000.

Harolds was great, kicked Georgia and south Carolina's butt in BBQ department. Sorry I missed Schoepfs, maybe next time. The steak at Lytle's Landing was excellent too!

I would have addressed the SCAC a little more this week since there's a lot going on there too, but I was running out of time.

Thanks for the shout out, Conrad! I appreciate it, that has to come with some Karma points right?

Anyways, Shoepfs does have the regular ribs during the week.  I tell ya though, there is a place in Morgan's Point, basically the Belton Lake area, where they have these Bubba Taters.  Man, they are huge and good.  They'll put your BBQ right there on the tater and it is great!

Mmmmm, I may be rooting for another Wesley/UMHB South Final.......

If that happens, get here early and we can sample the myriad Meccas of Central Texas BBQ. ;D
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Is Pearidge BBQ still on 2307 and Pearidge road?  They had some great BBQ there too.  Of course if you don't mind the drive to Green's Sausage House in Zabcikville, Greens will do you right as well.

I'm not familiar with that place.  I'll pretty much take any BBQ I can.

Yeah, it is all tasty.  Blacks is in Lockhart, between Austin and San Antonio.  It is amazing!  One of my faves!

As far as the football goes, I want UWW again.  If we are going to win it all, I want to beat the best!

I know!  It's great, isn't it?  They will have to bring someone in. It will be interesting to see what happens.

As it stands right now, who would we face in the first round?

I see Centre is atop the SCAC and could be the closest as I see it if they win out and Milsaps doesn't make a strong run.  Of course, I'm not really familiar with where these other teams are, so perhaps I am way off.  Trinity doesn't look to be making a run this year. Any thoughts?

The only contenders that can be bussed to Belton now are Trinity and Millsaps.  Everyone else must be flown.

UMHB might get a real pure seeding for their first opponent.

NCAA probably meeting right now to see how they can expand the 500 miles to something like "any team within 2 time zones has to be bused to Belton". Let's get there first, next 2 weeks are going to be tougher than normal.

yessir

Yea I don't like the playoff talk 4 games into the season...still alotta games to be played...we all remember the ETBU and HPU games of the past...anything can happen on any given saturday. All this BBQ talk has me craving Rudy's...to me...not many places can compete with Rudy's other than Texas Roadhouse's ribs...they are the best. I've only had Shoepf's (sp) a couple times and never really cared for it...

Great win this weekend by the Cru...just another step up the ladder to the top. Good luck this weekend.
Walking on thin ice cuz someone lost......again.

Yessir, I agree with you about Rudy's but there isn't one in Ab Tx or Temple, so you make due.  I really like Rudy's brisket and egg breakfast burritos

Well, we'll just have to see.  I think for once we might see a new team around here.  That would be exciting!  I know we don't want to jump ahead of ourselves, the next few weeks will be interesting, but I feel good about it.
