McMurry, 37-13.  Final

That margin of victory over HPU is the largest since the 1993 Aztec Bowl McMurry team beat the Jackets, 35-7.
two in a row, Ralph!
Yep!  It is  nice.

We catch the Lobos for Homedoming next weekend.

Thanks for the props TigerDad. I had a great time in Abilene. Would love to make it to San Antonio someday, since I missed Wesley's trip there in 2000.

Harolds was great, kicked Georgia and south Carolina's butt in BBQ department. Sorry I missed Schoepfs, maybe next time. The steak at Lytle's Landing was excellent too!

I would have addressed the SCAC a little more this week since there's a lot going on there too, but I was running out of time.

Thanks for the shout out, Conrad! I appreciate it, that has to come with some Karma points right?

Anyways, Shoepfs does have the regular ribs during the week.  I tell ya though, there is a place in Morgan's Point, basically the Belton Lake area, where they have these Bubba Taters.  Man, they are huge and good.  They'll put your BBQ right there on the tater and it is great!

Mmmmm, I may be rooting for another Wesley/UMHB South Final.......
If that happens, get here early and we can sample the myriad Meccas of Central Texas BBQ. ;D

Yeah, it is all tasty.  Blacks is in Lockhart, between Austin and San Antonio.  It is amazing!  One of my faves!

As far as the football goes, I want UWW again.  If we are going to win it all, I want to beat the best!

hopefully we'll meet again, this time in WI... ;D

I realize the drive is much shorter Warhawk, but can you honestly say you would rather be in Whitewater in December where it was 8 degrees the last time we played or in Belton where it was 80 that same day? ;)

If it means homefield advantage....hell yes!!! Any warhawk fan will take a game at the Perk over warm weather any day.

By 80, do you mean degrees or mile per hour winds?  ;)

I prefer ya'll play MUC in 8 degree weather at the Perk in the semi-finals ;D By the way it was 80 degrees and 80 mph on the wind in '08 semis.

I'll have to pass on that..... :P I'm not thrilled about playing MHB either in the semi's, but it seems to work out that of late. Luckly we were able to come away with a few victories.

I actually like 8* weather and wish there were more of it in Texas.

02 Warhawk, there could be a shift this year in the norm.  With HSU and Trinity likely out of the playoff picture, the Texas sub-bracket crumbles.  I UMHB wins out and takes the ASC championship, there may not be a team within 500 miles to bus in so there could be freedom to actually play out the seedings, who knows what matchups that might bring..
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

HPUdad & HPU Back-up,
HPU has been in much the same shape (a little better) as McM since Adam King left.  Multiple coaches, not competitive with the MHB's and HSU's.
No shame to being the back up to King, in my opinion he was the best athlete I saw in the ASC.  Maybe not the very best athlete, but his speed and strong arm made him the most dangerous athlete in the league.
I think there are enough good football players in West Texas to allow HPU and McM to have competitive teams in the ASC if the schools can get a good coach that is willing to stay around and establish a program.
Concerned that McM coach will leave after next year (obviously a heck of a coach), just hope he has turned us around enough to let us change the culture of the football program.
Wish more of all the schools would post on the board, not just MHB and HSU fans.

UMHB will have their hands full with LC and MC (especially in Clinton)  Better not look past the next two!
More upsets - TLU over SR
                                  McM over HPU
HSU over ETBU (who who have put this as an upset)

So much for this upset!  And on the Choctaws website, you can listen to their coach talk about how scary and prolific the LC offense was.  NEXT!
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

That is hillarious Warhawk.  Yes, it was 80 MPH wind that day and I almost got a straw in my eye!

I'm glad the video feed from Clinton, "Choctaw Vision" is good.  I may have to hook the laptop to big screen.
