Great win for Mississippi College.  I thought they out played UMHB.  Their defense was great.
And their O-line did a great job too.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I was very impressed with MC.  Both defenses played well.  I don't understand changing QBs in the last 2 minutes, unless Bailey was hurt.  So much for the #8 seed coming to Belton.  Hopefully this will not be another 2003.
if no one is within 500 miles i could see it.

The last Cru turnover was a killer.

yes

That decision really surprised me.  Not exactly the best time to bring in a new QB.

I would have liked to have seen him sooner.  They were teeing off on bailey because he never pitched the ball on the option (well there was tat one time for a 7 yard loss).  I never thought I'd say this, but I think our option offense got a little too one dimensional.

Looks like the Choctaws are finally going to win the ASC!  Congratulations to Norman Joseph and the entire staff for turning that program around!!!

Anybody know why Quincy Daniels didn't play today?

I'm not sure, but the MC play by play team said in the 2nd half that Mayes was the only RB available and that all the other RBs were hurt.

CruAlum58

Congrats. Big win. Sounds like MC protected the QB well and penetrated along the o-line (which kills the option). I hope this wakes up the Cru. If the rbs are injured they may have to spread the field a little more.
The last time we went in as a Pool C was a pretty good year.

According to the article in the Temple Telegram, Daniels was suffering from a sore knee and Ricky Williams broke his arm in the third so Mayes was the only run option.
