Here is the archived broadcast from MC-UMHB yesterday. Not sure why but there is a little more pixelation than normal, but it's still pretty good.

Looks like the Choctaws are finally going to win the ASC!  Congratulations to Norman Joseph and the entire staff for turning that program around!!!

It's set up great for the Chocs, but we still have 4 games left. Don't need to overlook any of those teams.
I'm your huckleberry.

Congrats Choctaws...great win for your program. Now let's hope that UMHB can win out, get a poll C bid and make another run...most likely the first game being in Clinton..Good Luck Cru and stay focused.
Walking on thin ice cuz someone lost......again.

Congrats MC on the big win, a huge step for the program and good luck the rest of the year.

Not sure what to make of the game on the Cru side, lots of questions but hopefully we can win out and still make the playoffs. Get to work Cru, and leave no doubt you belong in the post season.

did anyone see the game film on the interception by #14, taking the ball back to the MC 10 yd line? Refs called an Int penalty, by many of the coaches were calling tip ball near the line, appeared that way to me but only film will tell? Big play turn around

MC would have to lose two games since they have the head-to-head over UMHB, which seems unlikely given the teams left on their schedule.

So I just listened to the recap by Pat and Keith and Pat said MC was 480 miles from Belton so they could be matched in the playoffs if both teams win out. I have looked and I see it is 520 miles according to google, what map source does the NCAA use?

Pat Coleman

The NCAA has its own in-house mileage charts it uses.

Remember, too, it's shortest possible distance. Google Maps is going to give you shortest drive time by default.

I was at the game and there was contact between another UMHB defender and an MC player right as he picked the ball off. I did not see a tipped ball but some people in the stands were yelling for a tip. Huge penalty.

First of all congratulations to MC on a huge win for their program. Now to the big concerns from this game. Injuries, Daniels dressed but did not play and can not find out how long he is out. Williams broke his arm/wrist and is probably done for the year. The center Davis hurt his leg at the end of the game, don't know his status. What bothers me the most is the inability of the OC to adjust his game plan. MC shut down the option and we kept trying to run the ball. Towards the end of the game they had 8-9 in the box. This was deja vu going back to the semi's in '07 against Whitewater. Shut the run down and make us throw the ball. I thought we were past that with Bailey/Noack at QB. Putting Noack in the last 2 minutes is probably not fair to him, since it was cool and windy all day. I would have prefered a change at half or 4th qtr to allow him to get into the flow of the game. The defense played great except for 2 busted assignments on MC td's. The pass interference on Brett's 2nd pick was a game changer since he ran it back to the MC 10. Would love to see the film on that one. Hoping our OC figures out  a way to make in game adjustments as we go forward. Have to win out and hope for pool C. My rant is now complete.

There is NO way Noack should have been on the field.  At this point, if you go with Bailey, then there is no way you should have brought Noack on the field.  I so agree with the change at halftime.  That is our thing though.  We always run, rain or shine, yards or no yards, we will run the ball.  I really felt we had gotten over that hump after losing to UWW last year.  It's a shame to see, but perhaps this will wake us up.  I hope we see them again with QD in the mix.

Great job MC, y'all played well and we didn't!  Let's go Cru, pull it out!
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Is the two quarterback things an 'always' as well?
I thought that was the downfall in the 2004 Stagg.

I've been around since '05 and they have gone with a starter and played the back up in blowouts. '08 Noack came in for Saenz due to discipline issues. This year Noack was the original starter but Bailey has impressed through the early games.

I think Noack should have been in sooner as well.  In the first half the MC announce team noted that Bailey was not pitching the ball.  They said his options were "run or throw."  The one time he did pitch it went for  -7 because he threw the ball almost straight backwards to Mays.  I think at least part of that is inexperience and him trying to do too much.  The run was somewhat successful, but the option was too "one dimensional" to be effective.  I think a change at half could have made the difference, but maybe not since Mays was the only RB left.

That might not be a bad thing.  This game was very winable.  A rematch could be good to watch.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.
