LiDarrel is listed as the starter over Kyle Noack.

that hasn't meant so much this year.  Noack was listed on the 2 deep as the starter when LiDarrall started at least once, but I doubt Noack will start.

Either way, they need to make a decision. If Bailey is going to be the QB, let him do it all the way. Yes he is going to make freshman mistakes and he will not have a grasp on everything but you can't do what happened last week. In the game the entire time until crunch time and they take the ball away, nothing that would have happened would have been good for the QB situation. If Noack drives the field and wins than you have a QB controversy, if Noack does what he did than Noack feels bad and Bailey feels like he does not have the trust of the coaches.

Its a shame that Noack lost his starting job. Bailey is definitely more mobile but he lacks the experience neccisary. I'd be suprised after the game at MC if "THE CRU" makes it deep into the playoffs this year under his leadership. I'm not as concerned about the freshman mistakes as i am about the freshman inexperience bailey brings to the table. Seems like a year as the backup would have greatly helped his chances. Guess we'll see. I hope for the ASC's sake he proves my theories wrong. Good luck to everyone the rest of the way.

GO Cowboys.
Anytime you have a QB change there is controversy. Was the change too quick, only time will tell. As I stated in my rant Monday, no QB can overcome bad play-calling. MC took away the option and dared us to pass. We kept trying to run the option and that  lack of diversity is why we lost. 3 losses to Whitewater and 1 to MC followed the same MO. That is my concern for going deep into the playoffs, assuming we can get a Pool C bid can we change when a defense takes away our bread and butter. Athletic defenses can and will stop our running game. I apologize for my 2nd rant of the week

I have been saying this for years.  I was even reprimanded by a lady at a UMHB game for speaking down about the team when they kept running the same play over and over again.  In my mind, it seems simple to one week do the opposite of what everyone thinks you will do.  I like the option pass.  We don't run that enough and we don't go across the middle enough.  We have some very good wide outs and TE's.  I would love to see them go across the middle on the option pass or straight play action and see what happends. We have the skill and the heighth, we just don't run the plays.  Especially if QD is down, we will have to make a change.  These next few games are the games to do it in.  We "should" win these games.  We need to get our passing game back and get ready for the playoffs.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

It's very quiet around here this week.  Guess there's still shock from last weekend.  Well, I'm in the process of preparing for Saturday...making my first trip to Belton this year for football and homecoming.  Since we can't shell out the cost of the official homecoming tailgate, we'll be in the parking lot before the game with pulled pork, smoked sausages and the fixins having our own tailgate.  Stop by and say hi if you're coming to the game!
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Wow, that sounds great! If I can get away from the CruQuest run that morning in time for it, I'll make it.

On another note, I have noticed that the 6 Karma points I had are down to 4.  What is up with that?  Y'all are eager to take em away, but don't ever add?  I guess I lost points for my last take about how I was reprimanded for being upset at us running the same play every time.  IDK. But, I will continue to be upset if we don't try something different.  Oh well.

Interesting - from today's Triple Take:

Pat's take:   McMurry. In a game that McMurry would be favored in, the former Indians have a chance to get back to .500 at 4-4 heading into a home game against struggling crosstown rival Hardin-Simmons. Just something to keep in mind.

I can see McMurry winning this weekend against HSU.  Good luck to both teams.

Guess I should be more specific and mention that this week's it's Texas Lutheran, next week HSU.

For you Crusader fans going to Saturday's game you are going to be looking at something that might help your defensive play-off capabilities if/when you make the playoffs. Southern Oregon has a very, very good running back. I have no personal knowledge of how healthy he is or if he travels well. But he's fun to watch.

After the LINFIELD game I was able to tell Justin Feaster to keep his head up. Easy for me to say. But I do have experience having had one of those injuries and, if you have his ear, what his therapist has probably told him SWIMMING is most helpful for that 360 rotation. Doesn't hurt the good shoulder either!

I see a different senario playing out in two weeks. Hopefully after last weeks HPU game HSU is tired of leaving the door open so to speak. I look for the team to build momenium against SRSU then coming in and playing better against a much improved MCM team. In any event here's to putting the Rivalry back in the Cross Town Showdown. Good luck to everyone this weekend.

MCM beats TLU by 10!

As Cowboy Fan indicates, HSU and McM do not play each other until November 7th.  At 3-4 HSU is still hoping for a 6-4 "winning" season...with two games to go before closing the season at "suddenly surging McMurry."

In my opinion HSU is improving each week.  We'll see...

Go Cowboys!!!
