Im interested how big the offensive and defensive lineman are for Central... They have to be able to move pretty well to handle the team speed of UMHB. One game at a time Cru.... Get this one, then get some revenge on Linfield.   :'(

Gotta love the playoffs!!! Was always my favorite time as a player.....
Central's O-line - starting center Wnenk who has been injured weighs in at 325 and is replaced by a lightweight.
LT 75 Lee Schroeder (jr., 6-6, 300)
LG 52 A.J. Santon (jr., 6-1, 285)
C 68 Casey Tanner (so., 6-0, 270)
RG 51 Andrew Kneib (sr., 5-11, 275)
RT 74 Joey Shoemaker (jr., 6-4, 280)

D-line - they let the "little guys" play on defense, they are faster.   ;)
DE 57 Aaron Steenhoek (jr., 6-1, 215)
NG 94 Brady Hill (so., 6-3, 235)
DT 78 Jon McWilliams (sr., 6-2, 230)
DE 53 Shane Wong (jr., 6-0, 230)

My first reaction in seeing UWW last year at the Semifinal game was "look at how big those guys are!" We did not handle them.  It scares me to see the numbers on the O line and D line.  I hope our guys and coaches learned something from last years season ender, cause we'll need it.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

I am looking forward to seeing Central's strength vs. The Cru's speed.  Should be a great first round playoff game.  Anyone have some insight into Central's offense, run oriented, pass, or balanced?  I am looking forward to the Dutch's offense vs. the Cru defense.  On offense, I am looking for QD to have a big day, if Central slants or slashes, QD's shiftiness could play a factor in the game.  Much respect for Central's program should be fun to see come Saturday.

Stats say that the teams are very similar....run first on O, stop the run on D.  They're pretty big on the oline so it will be speed vs size
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Should be a great match up on both sides of the football.  Very similar teams with similar strengths.  Stats say UMHB, but we have often found ourselves on the wrong side of stats other than the final score.  Our o-line is the best I have seen in 35 plus years of watching the Dutch.  The rush defense is also the best I have seen at Central.  That said, I will still be happy to win the final score stat and nothing else.   :)  Central is run oriented, but can pass as needed quite successfully.  I think we are all in for a great football game.

You'll find the Central football website here; click on the stats link to see what they do on offense and allow on defense.   :)

Props to Eric Henri, former UMHB standout LB, on his recent signing with the Odessa Roughnecks!

I know the guys are banned from viewing this site, but if they could see the fact that no one really gives them a chance in the picks, they'd be ticked.  I mean, I'm worred about the size on the O and D lines compare to ours.  I hope that speed can make a difference.  I hope that the guys have learned from their loss last season to UWW, and I hope they catch fire, cause I'd sure like to see it happen!

Go Cru....Go Cru...Go Cru...Go Cru...Go Cru...Go Cru... Go Cru...Go Cru!!!

It promises to be an exciting game - Go Dutch! ;)
