....just how we like it. :)

The thing that I find interesting is that people are concerned with the physicality of Central and how the Cru can handle it. UMHB hangs its hat on being physical. Dominate both sides of the ball. If the Cru is focused on the task at hand I think this game could get ugly, real quick. Time for this group to become living legends. Good luck in Iowa..... More to come next week.

"...this game could get ugly, real quick." Wow. I picked UMHB in the pickems, but is there a weakness of Central's you can identify or is this a general lack of respect?
I think this is a former Cru player speaking his mind.  I don't think hes trying to be disrespectful.  I think he's expressing his experience from UMHB.  He also might feel that some of the Central fans are dismissive of UMHB because of a perceived lack of size, which seems to = lack of physicality in their minds; and he's sure that if the Dutch come into the game with that attitude it will get ugly quick.

No kidding? I don't think anyone in Pella (or the rest of the D3 nation) is dismissing UMHB -- we are going into this match up with the utmost respect for your program. Believe me, there is a decided lack of trash talk because we think we are pretty evenly matched from top to bottom. It will hopefully be a decent game. (I'll be disappointed to see a blowout in either direction after the billing this game received.)
I know.  I'm just speculating based on familiarity with his posts and content of the posts this week.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I can assure you that Central will not be coming in with this attitude.  No one at Central is taking UMHB lightly.  But if they read the opinion that this could get ugly real fast, I believe they will be out to prove something.  Actually, I think they will be anyway, since the powers at D3 have mostly dismissed Central to the 3rd best team in the country.

Good luck to both teams today, more to Central.   :)  May both teams play hard and stay healthy and when it's done, know that win or lose, you played your best.  Safe travels to all our new friends from Texas.  It has been a pleasure getting to know you.  Good luck with the coming baby UMHB2001.  You are well on your way to being a great dad.  We will welcome your future football or volleyball star at Central.   :)

my guess is neither team is taking the other lightly.  I'm sure that's the case with the Cru

I believe that , but some of the comments on the IIAC board don't seem to read the same way.

Thanks Klompen, I appreciate that!  I hope that all goes well and that the Lord blesses safe play and travel for all!

And as far as the future Central star goes, that means future Central Texas star!!
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Ralph Turner

Great job of broadcasting by the Choctaw announcer of the Huntingdon-Mississippi College game.  He states the time, score and situation very frequently.  He is very easy to follow, especially since our webcasting packages do not have integrated time, down, yardage and score "apps" included on them yet.

(And now the Choctaw Vision stream flashes the score and quarter across the bottom of the screen.!  )

Way to go today Cru!  Amazing game! Amazing ending!

Great job Dutch! You have a great program.  I look forward to another match down the line.

Way to go Choctaws! Way to rep the ASC!

A little disconcerting with Bailey in there at the end, but as dsc said, "a win is a win."  Our reward?  looks like a trip to McMinnville.  GO Cru.  Keep the wildcats from going 2-0 against the ASC this year.

Congrats MC.  Great win.  2 ASC wins! Unlike most years the conference win percentage goes up in rd 1!

Here's to the South, stampeding through the West!

D O.C.

Tough loss.

Hard win.

QuoteI look forward to another match down the line.

You got it! Come on out!

Can you believe how tough this is? No seeds. Harumph! Cake walks for UWW and MUC.

Hope people are healthy, only tired.

Congratulations to UMHB on a great win today.  We knew to expect speed and you brought it.  Credit the Cru for making us change our game.  Credit the Dutch for switching to passing and making it look like it is our preferred offense.  No complaining about the match-ups, no "if only" scenarios.  You came, played a great game and won.  I was proud of how we responded since we really haven't had to come from behind too much this year.  We may have lost, but with the Coe win and the close game in Pella, I think the IIAC gained some respect today.

Best of luck the rest of the way.  Hope you get another chance to play a team from our conference in the regional finals.  Welcome to the West, but don't come back.   ;D
