crufootball, i hear you about tennessee.  we have to travel from Pa to see my son at Ft. Campbell, Ky and the best way according to google is 81 to whatever that never ending road is until we get to nashville, which is still at least an hour from leaving tennessee.  Nice road, but just goes on and on.

That is why there are three stars on the Tennessee flag, to designate the three parts of Tennessee, long, longer and longest.  ;)

I'd rather drive through tennessee than drive from Houston to Lubbock, Houston to Amarillo, Abilene to Houston...
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Anyone coming out who would like to trade football shirts?

I can think of one longer drive for a conference game.  Trinity to Depauw 1140 miles but with more scenery.   :D

:D I'm sure there is ALOT more scenery on that drive than it is on the drive to Alpine.

Welcome to the West, but don't come back.   ;D
Now Klompen, Iowa hasn't really been west since the 1800's.  ;D  I've enjoyed the banter this week
I have too.  Too bad we can't play each other in regular season without hurting each other's odds of making the playoffs if you don't win conference.  It was the great game I had expected, just the wrong outcome.   ;)

Late in the 4th quarter, UMHB had 3rd and about a foot to go for a first down and they threw deep.  Can someone explain that decision.  A first down and we probably aren't biting our nails.  I about fell out of my chair when I saw Bailey throwing.
All of us on the Central side were shaking our heads over that one too.  I guess it was an attempt at going for the element of surprise, but it almost cost the game.  We were grateful.

For UMHB fans going to Linfield, I almost forgot, if you have the time and stay over to Sunday, McMinnville has a great air museum. It features Howard Hughes' Spruce Goose. It is worth the time.

When I read stay over to Sunday I thought you were going to recommend a good church.  ;D

I heard from the boys that they might set up the tent the night before.  We are on the corner by the Wildcat bus.  You can go to www.catdomealumni.com and there is a map in the Advantage Catdome section of where everything is.(upper left on page)
I expect we will be firing things up around 8AM or so.  I will be in town early from Gig Harbor (Seattle area) to see family T-day and all.

See you all at the Catdome

Unbelievable call.  Especially the way UMHB runs the ball.
