Gig Harbor Cat

You are right on Chris,
This one will be a barn burner.  Several of the 04 Cat players are now Cat coaches so I would guess that they will get the boys wound up just right.

Crap, its only Tuesday

Let get this thing on

Good News!  The UMHB and Linfield game will be broadcasted free.

http://www.linfield.edu/sports/release.php?id=3209

Videocast:  By popular request, a live video broadcast stream is being been made available free of charge...the subscription fee normally charged during the regular season is being waived...the videocast features rooftop and sideline camera angles, as well as instant replay...it also includes the live audio of the Linfield radio broadcast.

Linfield does a great job in these videocasts with replays, etc.

Good article on Adam Shaffer by Jason Bowen. http://www.d3football.com/notables.php

I noticed a comment a few days back about him getting rattled. You have to remember this is only his 3rd full season with an off-year in between each, so he matured a lot between each season. He has three final minute winning drives this year, all against very good teams in Millsaps, HSU and UMHB. He had the one bad game against HPU where he threw a couple interceptions straight to them, and a couple bounced off the pads of our WR's, I still have no idea what happened that day. But in the other ten games, he has 32 TD's and just 3 INT's.

Happy to see him going out with such a great year. He has 9,320 yards and 93 TD's and with a healthy 4th year he would have shattered the ASC career records of 10,246 yards (Adam King, HPU) and 93 TD's (Braxton Shaver, McMurry).

That is the best early Christmas present ever, thanks for the news.

Happy Birthday day to ME!  (Birthday is actually next week, but celebration with the in-laws is Saturday)
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Great news for Division III football!

OK Cru...I will be wearing my iridescent purple haze shirt with the cardinal lights that rotate counter clock-wise after each 'CAT TD, FG, sack, fumble recovery, or Longie burp. Nothing for safeties.
I'll wave.

The local papers in Texas frequently will have the section that is the "police blotter", that is, a summary of the activities of the recent week or day.  From the Taylor County Sheriff's Department...

I am reminded that one should not write your homework while you are driving.

For any of you coming up to Dover for the game this weekend DRESS WARM temp should be low to mid fortys but the wind will bring the feel like temps down. There isn't much of a wind break in the visiting stands except for the 5 story crypt in the grave yard behind the stands  across the street
Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

Congratulations Adam Schaffer and all of the 2009 Gagliardi Trophy finalists!

Very excited that there is a live feed of the game. I'm thinking I'll be home from the Mount Union-Monrclair St game in plenty of time to watch.

Happy Thanksgivings to my Cru friends and good luck
