That's crazy.  The IW player must have told them the truth about their program.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

TLU was at HSU on the 31st.

Apparently, those four did not make the road trip.

Ouch, any word on a coaching replacement for the Bulldogs? Talk about a great recruiting piece for a potential coach, going 0-10 and having off the field problems as well.

Ralph:
I could not find the time of day mentioned in the article and figured they could have been in Abilene and gotten back in time for the trouble -- you know, celebrating Reformation Day as good Lutherans.
Then, I checked out the stats on the HSU website. Randle played in the game. 7 catches 107 yards.
The other current player (McNeil?) was not listed as a game participant.
Not really a bad dog. Just misunderstood!

This is what I was referring to when I posted earlier.  This news was leaked out the day Parker resigned.

TLU has been very quiet with the interview process.

Anyone heard anything.  I am still hearing that it might go to a high school coach who has ties to the school.

+1 Hayden!

You seem to have the best information on these things of anyone on these message boards.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but are the resignation and the arrest connected?

I don't think that it is a dumb question.

I think that it seeks to understand the complexity of what it takes to run an outstanding program.

Coach Keeling has it.  Coach Fred has it.  Coach Joseph may be building it.

Everyone else wants it.

You would think that the combination of poor performance on the field and players being arrested off the field probably made the decision to let Parker go a no brainer.

Bill McCabe

Poor performance on the field is probably what did it.  All programs have problems to deal with from time to time.

But look at the scores this season.

That was not poor performance.  They were winless, but they were competitive in 5 of their D-3 games, including Trinity  The Sul Ross loss was for Sully's Homecoming.

I think it boils down to level of committment.  Is the school committed to having a successful football program.

As for if these two were linked, I am told they were linked.  Players and a grad asst. coach involved in this spells doom when you lose games and are not competitive.  If they were winning, it would simply be releasing the players, firing the coach and move on.
