Good luck in the playoffs...UMHB!

I predict/think your first round opponent will be "easier" than LC or HSU would have been!  (CNU = 6-4 record...I think!)

Go ASC!!!

it would thrill me no end to see UMHB put a butt-whoopin' like the last two weeks on CNU ....

I'm happy to see a Texas team actually get the opponent they should in the first round rather than whoever happens to be closest.  it would thrill me no end to see UMHB put a butt-whoopin' like the last two weeks on CNU,
maybe a repeat of the North Carolina Wesleyan visit to Belton a few years back?
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I would love to see that kind of result again but let's not repeat the rain, that was terrible.

Well, here we are again. Obviously, high hopes always come with this time of year and the Cru have always met those expectations. Any of the other non-playoff teams would love to be in our position year in and year out. This year does seem a little different, though, as this "bmhu", so ridiculous, UMHB team is road tested and battle proven unlike many of the previous years. With LB gaining confidence and the D gaining some too, this years squad has a great desire and view on game situations that not many of our teams have had.

Now, at no time in my years of seeing UMHB play in the playoffs have I walked away thinking, "oh, we were REALLY the best team and we should be moving on." If LC really feels they were the conference champs this year, that's fine. Keep thinking that. You still won't get the conference ring, though.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

wesleydad

hey cru friends, glad to see you again on the opposite side of the bracket, just happy to know that if we play, you get to come to dover again.  as far as cnu goes, they were not very good early.  i believe the conference is not that strong.  wesley beat them 27 - 7 in week one and did not play a good game, lost the starting qb on the first drive so the offense was limited.  i figure that cnu will have trouble scoring and also have trouble stopping your offense, salisbury who runs a similar offense trounced them in week 3 i believe.  good luck and hopefully i will see some of you guys in dover in a couple of weeks.

Sorry. My fault. I hit the wrong damn button.

LC understands that UMHB is the conference champs. UMHB made plays down the stretch and won a close game in Louisiana. Nothing but congratulations and respect for UMHB in CenLa. Expecting UMHB to make a good run in the post season.

CNU85

CNU lost to Wesley 34-6 in week 1. Then got walloped by Salisbury 58-10. Started season 1-4 and then ran off 5 straight to win conference. This is CNU's 10th season and will be their 7th NCAA playoffs. Wesleydad is correct, the conference is not all that strong this year. CNU has not won a playoff game since 2004. CNU has a 1-1 record vs UMHB. I hope it's a good, close game like the one in Virginia and not like the one in Tx. I was at both games. CNU hung with UMHB in Tx for about the first quarter and then a few minutes in 2nd before the wheels fell of the bus.

My advice.....the Crusaders should take the week off. Just report to the game Saturday morning!   ;D

Don't see that happening.  their 10-0 was a little sketchy at times and teh momentum really just started building over the last month.  I expect the coaches will keep them motivated.

QuoteCongrats to Quincy Daniels for breaking the ASC all-time rushing mark.

I'm glad he came back. I trust he's healthy to start damaging play-off teams.

CruAlum58

Just a weird fact. The dates for the playoff games are the same as they were in 2004. Here is to a long playoff run for UMHB.
