I will respectfully disagree with you. One player, no, not necessarily. Every program has athletes from time to time that are bad apples. But a review of the facts makes this much more serious. Four Wesley football players committed a felony against their classmates over Thanksgiving break. They took advantage of the fact that as football players, they were the only people in the dorms. It wasn't just one 'mistake' it sounds like they burglarized multiple rooms. So yes, you'd better believe that they absolutely reflect on and to a degree represent the football team by their actions. Absolutely doesn't mean every Wesley player is a felon; but the actions of these 4, by the simple fact that they are part of football team, definitely means this reflects on the program.

Just as a player getting Academic All-America or AFCA Good Works team reflect well upon the program, so do these negative actions. You can't just pick and choose that only positive actions reflect on your program. The negative does as well. In the same way the media talks about all the problems at a school like Florida, it affects us too. What disappoints me is that DIII is typically made up of high character Student-Athletes. It's what we hang our hat on and what makes us unique. The Dover community now has a easy reason to lump DIII football in with many of the problems usually associated with big-time football. The actions of these players reflects directly on their character. And their 'hard' mugshots Don't show much in the way of remorse. Hopefully that remorse will come. But their character reflects poorly on Wesley. You don't become a felon overnight, especially in this type of planned crime, it's an expression of what your character was all along.

And don't get me started on using the word "mistake" to categorize what they've done  ::) >:( They willfully stole from their fellow students, that my friend is what we call a felony. It's comments like that that reflect exactly the total lack of accountability that is rampant in our culture. The only way these men change is if they take responsibility for what they've done. Minimizing the seriousness if their actions by calling a felony a mistake is only giving them more excuses for not taking those steps.

Good luck today, and I hope all the teams stay healthy.

Wesley defense looking good so far. Cru offense not doing anything. Only 2 first downs through 1 qtr

umhbalum

Big play my Cru defense. Wesley fumbled a pitch and Cru recovered deep inside Wesley territory

umhbalum

Running game getting stuffed. Passing game so far has been pretty conservative so far with short pass attempts. The Cru needs to open it up and take some chances down field.

Cru makes a 41 yard FG

Wesley FG is good. 33 seconds left before the half. Wesley gets the ball to start the 3rd.
