I think it's safe to say the LSC could go have 3 to 4 teams make a move. My question would be who fills in? SCAC is pretty weak and the ASC is pretty tight knit.

SCAC schools by their nature have no interest in scholarship athletics - except Colorado College.  They have two grandfathered D1 sports and speculation has been that they might like to reduce the travel costs & demands on their athletes.  The only alternative available (short of going D1 which ain't gonna happen) would be to join a D2 conference such as the RMAC.

For any of you who might have/know a middle- or high-school WR, ex-D3 (Trinity) and NFL (Seattle/Arizona/KC) wide receiver Jerheme Urban is offering a receiver camp in New Braunfels next weekend.  This was on his facebook page earlier tonight:

Wide Receiver camp in New Braunfels on Saturday, March 26. Jr High in the AM, high school athletes in the PM. Only 6 spots remaining for each time slot, and only 10 total athletes in each group. As close to private lessons as it gets. If you have an athlete interested, and would like more info on location, time frame, and pricing feel free to email jerhemeurbanfootballcamp@yahoo.com

Send a note to the email address for more info.

UMHB is deeply committed to the philosophy of D III athletics.  The idea that D II is better than D III is not in the minds of UMHB athletic leadership.  The new on-campus  :)stadium will simply solidfy UMHB's position in D III football and futher improve student and community participation in football in an on-campus stadium.

TigerKat sure is high on a program that only won one asc football title <2003>,finished at 5-5
I hate to say it MHB is the team to beat. tigerkitten you need to work on your football history on HSU. Is HSU really hurting at QB. History fact HSU QBS previous of Fester: Jordan Neal, Dustin Proctor, TWO HEAD snake year, boyd. History has proven HSU is never have a lack of good QBs to take the reigns. WR is weak: again wrong robbins, castillo. rodgers, warren, bloom. One thing is for sure HSU never hurting in talent. with that said :-* Here are preseason predictions:

MHB To be the best you got to beat the best at least of this past decade
fight for second HSU(traditions never die)/LC(been on the rise to over take HSU as MHB biggest threat), MCM (past two years have made me a believer)
all the other teams for the other spots (talent has been for the most part bare, and who really cares of the teams except fans that dream and players with false hope)

Tiger kitten just stop running your mouth because all the big dogs that sit at top hear is blah blah until the game then :'( :'( Do something to run your mouth before talking what your going to do   ::)

Besides that rant GO COWBOYS!!!!!

Spring depth charts posted, workout schedules up and 90 degree weather. Ready for spring ball in Marshall.  8-)

TrickyTroy-I also believe HSU and MHB are the ones to beat but I think HSU is down a bit, and I completely disagree with you about LC. They also lost their two big men on offense. McM is a sleeper that could show up though. You hit that on the head, however they dont travel well at all. IMO
ETBU Softball-2010 National Champions!

HSU will miss the OC.......they will more than miss him......say to the tune of 17-21pts a game.....The HC was worth another 3-7 points too......

The Merry Hardly Baylors and the Supersized McBlurries are the cream of the crop......HSU Cowgirls will just sit back and wonder...what coulda been....(if not for the coaching changes)...dont let me chap ya more than your dusty little chaps already do Cowgirl TrickriderTroy....

Times, they are a changin'........

I heard today from some friends at West Alabama that MC will be playing West Alabama in 2012 and 2013.

That will fill the vacancy in the schedule left by MvMurry's move to D-II.

tiger kitten you should really do your homework. The NEW HEAD coach has been mentored by both the Last HC and OC since before 1997. The offense won't miss a beat, and last time i checked the players make touchdowns and fg not coaches. Coach K and Coach Wartes will be missed, but they have been grooming the new staff like they groom their players. Coach B has some big shoes to feel but he does have big feet. ;D I really think tigerkitten that you should spend more time in the classroom than on these boards. Learn the facts before you speak.

ETBU- I don't know to much of LC other than what they done the past couple of years. They are always a ? because you never know which one will show up. Do they have that good QB back? Please get tigerkitten some help. Drug test him or something ,because he is certainly high.  ;D The Tigers remind me of Howard payne in the 90's. They have talent but find a way to lose. Coaching or players fault? I remember in '99 HPU lead HSU by 21 with about 6min left and lost the game by 14. The thing about MHB and HSU has over most teams is it never enters their mind they will lose. They find a way to win.

Here's a nice link to the Abilene's KTXS news story on HSU WR Zavious Robbins and his performance @ ACU's pro day. Zavious ran a 4.31 40 yd dash. This time was the 2nd fastest time recorded at ANY pro day or combine and the fastest by an WR.

if the old OC and the new HC had a football camp on the same day....and you asked any texas hs coach which camp would be best to for their kids to go to....the HS coaches would easlily tell you...the old OC......people in the know, know exactly what happened to the old OC and why his 21 yr tenure ended at HSU.....but if you think things are great...continue to suck your thumb and have sweet dreams about your little fairy tale world......reality, the walls are starting to crumble around your little utpoian world......let check back in a couple of years and see.....whats what!
