Bahaha Im assuming Tigerkat is a recruit or something, I dont know anyone QUITE so arrogant as to go straight at HSU and MHB this strongly. Still as many teams probably do, we feel like our squad is mature and working this spring with a chip on our shoulders.

As far as LC goes, their QB depth chart is about as weak as it gets. (Though Im not exactly a huge follower of the program.) That being said I feel like they may have to spend a year grooming their athletes. As most know they ALWAYS have athletes.

Looks like an opportunity for a transfer over the summer!

PS I happen to live in a Duplex and I just want to point out that IMO it has its upsides....I mean would you rather lose your keys in a Castle or a Duplex.....

LOL sorry for the off-topic comment.

Actually the name in the email associated with Tigerkat is that of someone who played catcher for ETBU as a freshman a couple of years ago.   Season stats: 2 AB, .000.   May not be the same person, of course, but certainly an interesting coincidence.

So long Tiger Stadium, the Cru will be leaving soon and the plans look awesome. The $20 million dollar complex is being designed by the same man who designed the new Yankee Stadium.

Will there be no track facility in that stadium?

tigerkat

not only is the new stadium going to be impressive........but so is this!

Fredenburg's program is 114-19 in the last 11 years - 86-6 in American Southwest Conference games during that span - while playing at Belton High School's Tiger Field and practicing at Andersen Field House. Just imagine the possibilities once the Crusaders compete in their own stadium and work out at their renovated field house, where work has already begun

No there will not be, doesn't seem like UMHB has any intentions of starting a track program anytime soon if ever.

Those pictures are impressive.
Im happy for MHB. I really dislike Tiger stadium. The turf is awkward, the locker rooms are like a prison and the uprights are modified with (what looks like) yellow PVC piping. Then again at least they modify it and play honest. Unlike TLU who has decent special teams stats due to the HS uprights in at Seguin's Matador Stadium.

Ralph, I know of 2 people that ran cross country while at UMHB. Beyond that i have never heard any interest expressed in a track program.

I must say I like the drawings of the stadium and would love to be sitting in the stands on opening day of 2013. Did anyone notice the line about the design being made with the ability to expand if need arises. Are there many D3 schools running in excess of 10k fans per game?
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Nope St. Johns seems to win the attendance battle every year and they top out at about 8500. My only guess is maybe if the stadium started getting lots of request for high school playoff games maybe they would expand. But I guess it never hurts to plan, better to have the ability to expand and never do it than have the need to expand and not be able to do it.

tigerkat

could be some great revenue from HS playoff games.....
