any news on the morris injury?  Next week might be a little better due to first year program but still same caliber athletes.  I don't know that any pay out would be worth this type of demoralizing game.

Maybe by the time they get to play D3 schools they'll be that battle tested they'll do amazing? Probably wishful thinking but it would be interesting to see.

Battle tested and injured will not help week 3 in belton.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Coe is bussing to Abilene! Saturday might be painful.

Forget Saturday, Sunday will be the killer since I am guessing it will be a direct trip back.

Hindsight is always 20/20 but this was obviously a game that should not have been scheduled.Next week will probably be better but after the MHBU game this team could be done. After McMurray leaves any shot Austin or Trinity join the ASC?

The chances that either join the ASC are zero.  Trinity has never wanted to play the ASC and AC left them a few years ago.  Too much difference in philosophy, athletically and especially academically.

The SFA color guys on the radio said that McMurry had skill position players that could play for SFA.  The difference, which we have all said before, is the size of the linemen.

Pat,
All indications I have is that the ASC is not an option for Austin College for any sport except for filling out non-conference games in sports other than football.  I am not at liberty yet to discuss other options I have heard.

Toby, I couldn't agree with you more.  This was the dumbest scheduling I've seen.

question

I cannot believe they signed off on those games.  There confidence is gone.  That game was that bad.  I will be honest, I thought this coach knew what he was doing, he coached at that level.  I would be surprised they win 4 games now.  Like I said it was that bad.

McM Blue Devil

I can understand the questioning of scheduling these games but let's all calm down a second.  It's easy to criticize and all of us have the right to our opinions.  One shellacking doesn't determine the outcome of an entire season.  Before we all throw dirt on McMurry's grave and call into question the sanity of their athletic leaders I think we should let this thing play out.  After the next few weeks if a line can be drawn between their performance as a result of these first two games (injuries, depleted confidence, etc) then there can be validation to the questioning.  If losses accrue as a result then I will be the first one to come on here and say all of you were right.

Just thought I would pitch in my two cents for what it is worth.
