A little bit of both.  Wesley adjusted defensively in the second half and took away a few of ETBU's plays and it seemed to frustrate  Harris. Mohammad took a couple if ill advised big penalties.
Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

yes, HSU is flying, boys left at 4 this morning by bus to dfw then take off about nine to head to Portland then about an hour drive to Salem.  And i agree with the lack of respect that the ASC gets.  Out of the top half of the league, there are no easy games and depending upon home/vs visiting there are challenges everywhere.  Heard the other day that some of the northern schools have scholarship track programs that some of their football players receive and they they compete at DIII in football but in DII or even DI in track.  Is that a possibility and if that is what is happening, doesn't that sort of cross the line when it comes to fair non scholarship football.  Just trying to check out the source and see if it was bad info or not.

I believe there are some very strick rules against that sort of (shady) business. I think there is a clear disctinction between the programs. I'm trying to think of what northern schools have D1 or D2 in track and D3 in football - I can't think of any off the top of my head. Hopkins has Lacrosse at the D1 level and their other sports at D3, I know.

BTW, speaking of Lacrosse, any UW-La Crosse sightings around UMHB country?

I saw on one of the other boards that the team left yesterday. If all goes well, I'll be in Belton tomorrow night for the game. If so i'll be tweeting and posting about it.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Thanks Toby. . . remember to tell the Cru to be gentle on the Eagles, their offense is the complete opposite of the Packers and Saints!!  ;)

No. Not possible. Whoever told you that is literally 20 years behind the times, as it was phased out in the early '90s. That's why Dayton and other D-I schools don't play D-III football anymore.

Thanks, Thought it sounded a little fishy and wanted to be sure to nip it in the bud before it was passed on.  Good luck to all the ASC this weekend and Go Cowboys!  I am a homer also even though I played at AC.  Would like to Sartain and his bunch do well.  I really liked Mark as a grad assistant and appreciate the way that he conducts his program.  Burleson will be the same at HSU and carry on the cowboy tradition.

I put an invitation on the WIAC board for any La Crosse fans to meet me at Schoepf's at 4:30 for a dose of real Texas Bar-B-Que.  I received no comments at all but will still be there around 4:30 if any show up.  Would be happy to meet any Cru fans as well!

La Crosse traditionally has traveled quite well, which undoubtedly was fueled by their outstanding success. I'm not sure what kind of presence they will have in Belton on Saturday. La Crosse fans these days are the silent minority on these boards, so don't be discouraged that you received no comments to your offer. Hopefully, you'll see a few at the game.

question

McMurry looks good.  they are winning 3-0.  close to the end of the 1st quarter.  There Defense looks good.

question

10-0 McMurry just intercepted UTSA.  They look great.  Looks like it maybe 10-0 McMurry at the half

question

McMurry was driving at the end of the 3rd a Wr had ball taken from his hands and at the end of the 3rd looking to score.  McMurry playing so well.  Morris and Baiza are players and both got hurt and UTSA scored at the end of the 3rd.  I promise if there are any two better in the conference, they should be playing D1.  14-10.
