Got a little shower in the ATX this afternoon and it's heading NNE.     :)

First rain for us since June 21st.  No joke.    May have been a few hundredths but we'll take anything.

we had rain yesterday in Abilene. hoping for more today, but given the drought that seems greedy
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

The pistol must go at UMHB.

How do you figure? 220+ yards says it works...

Thanks for the kind words about McMurry in this week's South Region Review!

Can you explain the McMurray team walking off and not shaking hands after the game? A handful of guys did, but the rest walked off. Not sure that even the HC shook hands with Coach Fred!

I agree. Tonight when the Crusader offense was working(before the lightning), it couldnt be stopped. If UMHB just finds some rhythm and consistency the offense could be better than ever. Plus it makes no sense not to try to use the talent they have a receiver. Damian Davis is the real deal.

I think it was unsportsmanlike on the part of our guys not to shake hands after the game, and I hope the coaches ream them for it.

I agree. They need to get Davis the ball more often. Inside the 20, I'd like to see him in the slit and run a corner fade.

True that! Horrible example! Not ASC football. I'm glad they are leaving if they are going to pull that. Not at all acceptable. Their AD should be on his tail for that. Not a good representation of the school.

I'm very excited to see how good this team can really be once they start playing the way they played today before the lighting, all the time. I feel like they can play with anyone if they get to that point.

Tonight when LiDarral Bailey threw the pick 6 late in the game, UMHB was on the verge of going up 35-14, and making this a completely different ballgame. Perfect example of UMHB not playing the way they can and executing the right way. I was also extremely impressed with safety Will Morris. Could easily be playing D1 safety somewhere. Really reminds me of a certain Josh Kubiak.

Coach Mumme did walk over and shake Fredenberg's hand but did not acknowledge anyone else. I agree total act of unsportsmanlike conduct but there are no rules that players must shake hands after a ball game. This is coming from UMHB alum and have been spoiled by the class our guys show win or loose.

UMHB has to stop the penalties!  I will have to wait until tomorrow to look at the drive charts but I think nearly every drive in the second half had at least one 10 yard holding or some kind of 15 yard penalty.  That kept them in 1st or 2nd and 20-25 yards for a first down the whole second half.  That was not the fault of the pistol, just a loss of focus.  Once we even downed a punt while it was still rolling toward McMurry's goal line!  ::)
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

They are not a passing team.  There may be great receivers, but they still run the ball best.  Is the pistol really the best running formation.  It is one back.  Passing kept McMurry in the game.  The turnovers have come from the passing game.  It was passes that killed the drives and put the Cru in long yardage situations.  They had control of the game by running.  Wilson was unstoppable.
