Yep. The other 24 voters overruled me, as they have the authority to do. :)
If things hold the way I thunk they might, the must see Asc game this season will be LC VS McM. Of course there is no video or live stats at LC
Really? You sure? I was able to watch a really good quality of the Mississippi College game. Here, http://www.ihigh.com/louisianacollege/
I hope you're right because I think that will be a huge game.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

LC has video. I can't vouch for the quality. I watched the Wildcats vs Belhaven via the Internet because the game was played during the height of Tropical Storm Lee. Which, I suppose, makes me literally a fair-weather fan : ). It was one wet, sloppy affair which may have affected the streaming video somewhat.

For future reference, here's a link to the LC video: http://m.ihigh.com/index.php?n=schools&schoolid=29434

Like everyone else here, I hope to enjoy homecoming; but to be honest, I am focused on the game!  Just have to wait one more day to see great improvement in the CRU!!!

New to the board here but this got me out to post.....I'm guessing you think UMHB will walk over LC so that won't be the must see ASC game this season. Hopefully the Cats will surprise you.

And you are wrong about the no video at LC. They stream all home games on IHigh.

I absolutelydon't think that UMHB will walk on LC. I expect a very good game. I am picking the Cru for the win, but I'm a homer. I want to see the McM LC game because as best I can tell both have good Offenses and Defenses and the Lc McM games I have seen in the past have always been very entertaining. Also If UMHB wins tomorrow and then wins out, I think that will be a game for a playoff spot.

Maybe LC is far enough that they would split them up if LC & UMHB made it in. I don't see avoiding it if Umhb and McM make it. but there's still a lot of football to play before anything like that happens.

That's certainly true, if the initial pairings are travel sensitive, like in the past!

You are probably right, they would make UMHB and McM play, but might separate UMHB and LC

Pat Coleman

You'll want to root for Huntingdon or Birmingham-Southern to make the playoffs. That will help give some options to separate ASC teams.

Jerry Bawcom

I am sure UMHB would go and play anywhere, if there were two teams out of ASC in the playoffs; but I do remember a rather poor performance by UMHB at Linfield  a couple of years ago!  However, they might be ready to set the record straight, if given the opportunity.

@d3jason

What is LC wins today and they McMurry wins out (beating LC) and so does UMHB. Could the ASC get 3 teams in?

Pat Coleman

It would probably depend on who wins the tiebreaker and gets the automatic bid. In that scenario, I think McMurry could only get in with the AQ. A 6-1 in-region record isn't likely to stack up that well considering what else is usually out there for at-large teams.

In a 3-way tie for the ASC, the in-region records would be:

LC        8-1 ( and a win over Millsaps)
UMHB   8-1  (and a win over UW-L)
McM     7-1  (No wins over other South Region foes)

The ASC tie-breaker is:

Quote9.1.4       Multiple Ties / Football: In the event of a three-way or more tie that cannot be broken by the record against the tied teams followed by record against other conference opponents in descending order, the Commissioner shall conduct a draw with the tied teams to determine the conference automatic qualifier to the NCAA Division III Football Championship.

Basically, a coin flip.
