Hey  Ralph ,
What is your point spread on the McM VS LS game ? Are you going to use that TWO headed coin on the flip ?  ;)

McMurry by 1.   ;)

I thought that we beat them last year in Abilene. I maintain that our WR was held (pass interfernece) in the end zone on 4th down of the last drive!

Should be a great game. I can imagine a 14-17 spread at the end, ony because the game might get wild at the end, after 2 strong teams slug it out.

There should be plenty of great plays with lots of excitement!

It will be a Louisiana refereeing crew that brings the coin.  ;)

QuoteHSU looked better against us than what I saw against Coe (on the videostreams.)
I think that they are getting better each week!

My impression from the McM-HSU game was that the HSU offense basically self-destructed.  The defense was great, pretty well containing our passing game; and if we hadn't been able to run the ball, we would have been in big trouble.  But the offense not only turned the ball over five times, which could be attributed to good McM defense; they also had a lot of trouble just hiking the ball to the quarterback.  He had to repeatedly fumble with it to get control, or ground it if he couldn't.  A bunch of promising HSU drives stalled out when they got lost big yardage on poor snaps.  If HSU gets that problem corrected, they could be a real threat for LC.

Great showing by the Cru today, and no, our #1 O wasn't on the field in the second half. Barely played the 2nd quarter. The rest of our guys flat out worked it today. Great game!
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

So, If the bracket does actually shape up to be (5)McMurry @ (4)Trinity, then would the winner of that game play UMHB in the second round in Belton?

And by the way i think McMurry is probably a legit 2 or 3 seed.

that's as safe a bet as there is. And i'll just say I agree

Who do you think UMHB would host in the first round?

Congratulations to TLU on their win over MC.

A fly-in!  And then host the winner of TU-McM...

In a departure from our current conversation, UMHB alum Jerrell Freeman ended the year as the CFL leader in tackles. He also led the Saskatchewan Roughriders in Sacks, and caused general mayhem with several forced fumbles, recovered fumbles, and interceptions. This article says that he is now a free agent and that entering the NFL is certainly a possibility. It will be interesting to see if he can get a try out and stick with a team this time around.

I've been watching his stats get better and better all year. he basically became the beast he was at UMHB once they gave him a shot last year starting him at defensive end just to get him on the field. When they moved him to LB this season he just exploded. It would be great to see him get another shot @ the NFL and stick.

Congrats to McMurry on winning in Pineville on Saturday. It was a very entertaining game and had just about everything a fan could want to see.

I thought LC still had a chance when they scored to make it 33-21 in favor of McMurry late in the third. However, when Mullin connected with Neal for a 67 yard scoring pass a few plays later it looked grim. When LC moved quickly down the field to the War Hawk 1 yard line, I thought hope might have revived. The Wildcat fumble recovered by the War Hawks on the McMurry 1 proved that any hope at a comeback was dead.
