HSWho doesn't have a chance...

Always a good day when Yessir shows up! This weekend should be a great game. I think BHMU is still the front runner but i'm certain that coach Burleson will have the cowboys ready! Every year it seems like it could go either way and lucky for those of us who root for either team it's generally a very competitve game. Good luck to both sides and lets hope for 0 injuries for both squads. Go Cowboys
As I see it, this is your first post since November...

Glad to have you back on the boards, yessir!
That was a response to the HSU fan. It was his first post since November.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

I want to acknowledge yessir for the "civility and propriety" of his comments.  I will bet that he learned those "gentlemanly" attributes at UMHB.   :)

HSU-UMHB is a great rivalry.  I try to make that game every year.  I hope emotions are high, but civil.  This game usually has a lot to do with the outcome of the conference.  Seems like that could be the case again this year.

2001 you mis read my post. I have a healthy respect for UMHB. Unfortunately i travel with work frequently and i'm not able to post but i do like to keep up with D3 and this is a great site to do that on. My BHMU comment was a response to the HSWHOO comment from Yessir. I personally like the HSU v UMHB rivalry and i never mean any harm with the comments, just simply poking fun. Should be a great game and i believe i did give the adequate amount of respect. I was simply poking fun at Yessir. We only seem to cross paths once a year.

Just messin with you Cowboy. I too respect HSU. My cousin played there back in the 90's. Great school, great program, and besides, we share the Hardin name!

and the homecoming shirts are pretty generic. Pat, I too know that to be the case with UMHB. I just think its a bad idea. I've seen close to 8k people at a HSU UMHB game and emotions always ride high. I've even sat on the HSU side and listened to what's said, it gets way too emotional.

This is TEXAS, son, of course it's gonna get emotional!!    ;)

If your not going to be emotional toward your school why bother to show up?
There's being emotional and there's being an overly emotional, often irrational, idiot. i.e. UT vs TAMU. the UMHB v HSU rhetoric can reach the latter level. I understand that kind of emotion because I get too involved in games I'm watching. I just think when you're talking that kind of emotion potentially attached to a game the game should not be your homecoming game.

Toby,

Speaking of homecoming i was in town last weekend for HSU's homecoming. Is the team healthy going into the UMHB game? Seems like we had some out for injuries last week and i wasn't sure if they were back and practicing or if we had guys out from the ETBU game? Do you know what the status is or if HSU lists injured players on the site?

Bill, I am going this week also.  Holler at me and maybe we can get together.  I also plan to do my usual post-game meal at Schoepf's if anybody wants to join me!
Anything that you ardently desire, vividly imagine, totally believe and enthusiastically pursue will inevitably come to pass !!!

roo, i would love to join you but the drive is just a little long for my weekly road trips to a D3 game.  could be a good one, enjoy the bbq.

I would love to join you as well, but I'm officiating a wedding for a HSU alumnus @ 2 on Saturday.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I am only poking fun as well...nothing personal!!! We're all friends here right??

I think one of the RB's that went down will be out this week

Now, why would anyone post that here, I wonder? We lost a pre-season All American and a 100 yard a game running back and I could not get a conformation until the next game day.

HSU line keeps defense off the Qb I think you got a game.

Jerry Bawcom

My twin brother in Abilene keeps me up on HSU.  With the losses only to ranked teams, HSU looks good on paper and has shown so in action, so this should be a typical UMHB-HSU hard fought game.
Mrs Parker, former first lady is staying the weekend with us to be here for homecoming.  She will be front and center in the president's box.  Mrs B and I will be in the stands with the fans!!!  Go Cru!

Give Mrs. Parker our best. I wish I could be there, but I'll be watching while I can before the wedding.
