SO UMHB rolled today over ETBU, clinching the ASC. LC crushed MC 70-28, and HSU won in 2OT over TLU, setting up the biggest ASC game of the year! Already pumped for next Saturday!

This is going to be quite the game, HSU vs LC.

Having played with and narrowly losing to Wesley, having come from behind as they did to beat TLU, and knowing that this win could quite possibly put them into the playoffs, it will be interesting to see what LC does. Other than the TLU game, I believe the LC has not usually done well in pressure packed situations. UMHB came back to beat them two  years ago, and Wesley was able to hold them off this year, so it seems to me that they have to find themselves and really stick to and play sound, fundamental football. The TLU game was a stepping stone for them, and if they can build off of that and play with that determination for 4 quarters, they have a good shot against HSU.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

I don't think that the LaCollege program has had their "breakthru" win.  I think that UMHB's breakthru "win" was actually the run thru "murderers' row, the four Top 10 teams that the Cru played on the road on the way to the 2004 Stagg Bowl.

They lost in 2002 to Trinity. They were "tri-champs" in 2003 and sat home.

I am very interested in the LC/HSU game this week.  After seeing HSU against MHB, I am not sure Louisiana College can keep up with HSU point for point.  I was extremely impressed with the Cowboy's offense both in their execution and in scoring 32 against the UMHB defense.  This could become a shootout!  Most interesting game in the ASC for sure.

But what about the HSU defense that let TLU run up 50+?   That's scary.

Will this be another game like HSU/Sul Ross?  I know LC's defense is better than Sul Ross but two games in a row with 914 and 635 yards and 496 against UMHB is scary!  I sure wish HSU had beaten either Willamette or Linfield and this would have been a national game of the week!

I think if the LC Defense shows up as it did against Wesley, they will win. HSU hasn't stopped anyone as I see it.

LC has to be able to put pressure on the QB. The Cats do that and they are in it to win it.

What a game..!! I have never seen two teams so even on every aspect of the game. Back and forth they went. 6 lead changes and 2 ties during the game. Whether or not LC will make the playoffs is still yet to be seen, but this season is already history making. This season is the first 8 win season, ending the 4 season streak of 7-3. The seniors that played their last game at Wildcat Stadium- i think have the most wins as a class in LC history. Hopefully it won't be their last. With the Huntingdon lost, I feel really good about our playoff chances. Also shout out to all the Hardin-Simmons fans that made the trip.

LC did not get a lot of pressure on the QB today, but the secondary played well, especially down the stretch. Offense made some very big plays at some opportune times. Some very gutsy play calling by Coach Dunn as well. Great season for LC. Will it continue? We'll just have to wait and see.

Congrats to UMHB on another undefeated conference campaign & ASC crown.

Good game for the Cru today, but not the way they wanted to start. They really struggled early as the Mississippi College D came to play. It was also very windy, shocker, and that played a lot into what both teams had to do.

Javicz Jones, oh my goodness, that guy is crazy good. I don't know if he could play NFL or not, but I'd love to see what he could do as a strong safety or something. He is everywhere and really played well today.

Darius Wilson really stepped his game up. Great game for him. And I'm not sure what happened to Geoff Myles, because he was out most of the game. He only had 1 catch. They were looking at his shoulder, but his eyes looked a little woozy. We need him, so I hope he is ok. Hopefully they were just playing it safe.

Anyways, tomorrow evening should be great!
