I'm confused the bracket show that we play Wesley or Cortland next week

FCGrizzliesGrad

UMHB will be home next week (I know it's usually a bad idea to call a game in the first half) against what looks like Wesley. The following week would be Mount Union.

Hope they just keep the clock running.   35-0 UMHB, Franklin inserts new QB who throws another pick on his first play, two plays later it's 42-0 UMHB.

What a crying shame that the Cru will have to go to Alliance next week.   They can still win, but it would be nice to see the Raiders travel for a change.  How many years has it been since they've had to play a road playoff game?

Not next week.  UMHB still has to play the winner of Wesley vs. Cortland State.

Been a long time since MU played on the road in the playoffs.  Sometime in the 90s.

Next week's game will be against Wesley in Belton.

Double monkey stomp in Belton by halftime!  Wow!

Makes the LaCollege score better.  The CRU is rolling.

I wish that the we had the Hobart and the Widener games on this side of the bracket for UMHB and Wesley next week!

My bad, thanks to everyone who corrected me (and to Kira & Jaxon's Dad for the answer to my question).  +1s for all!

agree ralph, wish that wesley did not have to play umhb until the semis or stagg since i think that both of these teams are in the top 4.  well, one of them will just have to win in alliance in 2 weeks and then in salem.

I think so.  If Ric still had his site I would have found it already...  ;)

EDIT:  You were correct.  MU went to WLAX in 1996 and won 39-21.

Great playoffs so far, the top 7 and #9 teams are still alive. The next few weeks should be classic. Go Cru!

Great game today! The D really slowed down a solid team today, and I think this bodes well for the future. The second team D had some trouble, which I'm sure will be addressed this week, because we need them badly. But the O looked very good. Big game this week, may be close, but I think the Cru will be ready.

Since 1993 Mount has lost 11 football games.  5 in Salem, 1 in Albion, and 5 at Mount Union.  This might lead one to believe it best to meet the Raiders in Alliance or Salem.

Again, no disrespect, but who have y'all played? I know the SOS wasn't that great this year, so really I'm wondering how that schedule might look if you were playing Linfield, Wesley, UW-Oshkosh, St. Thomas, or others during the year. I think that has a lot to say about it, but  y'all have certainly earned your wins, your record, and your place in D3.

MU plays who is on their schedule.  They are in a 10 Team Conference, that they have no intention of leaving, so that leaves one Non-Conference Game each year open to anyone.  MU usually has a hard time finding someone who wants to play them, but have had better luck lately.

MU played Franklin the beginning of the year, and also played Heidelberg (playoff qualifier) and Baldwin Wallace and John Carrol who both were ranked at some point this year (I think).  Other Non-Conference Teams in Recent History are UWOshKosh in 2010, St. John's Fisher in 2008-09 (they were a playoff team around that time), Averett in 06-07, Washington U in 04-05, and UWW in 02-03.

MU takes each week (team) one game at a time, and it has served them well over the past 20+ years or so.
