Crazy game today. The Cru looked uncharacteristicly off after that blocked FG and fumble on the second play. They really seemed to lose the MO. But, as they did against HSU, they were able to come back, learn from mistakes and really show their stuff.

I think, though, that the offense was overshadowed by the D. The defense really stepped it up against a good Wesley team. The RedZone stops were HUGE!

That "intentional kick" returned possession to Wesley...Can anyone shed some light on that ruling? Why did they get the ball back??

The only thing I can figure is that a kicked ball happened before UMHB gained possession of the ball, thus it went back to Wesley as they were the team that last had possession.  Just a guess.

Sounds like a good reason to me.

That call was ridiculous. Even some coaches were dumbfounded. The entire UMHB staff were out past the numbers. We are extremely lucky that didn't come back to bite us. I have a question!! How in the world was Bailey a 2nd Team all conference pick. That dude is a stud. He's made some huge plays in the playoffs. UMHB offense would have a hard time without him in the backfield. The Defense had a huge game today. Way to go CRU!!! See y'all in Ohio next week!!!
Walking on thin ice cuz someone lost......again.

If my explanation was correct, the call made sense.

Nothing personal skunk, but the whole MACHINE thing rings a little hollow when you haven't won a national championship in 4 years.  ;)

Many thanks to the nice folks in Belton who made our visit enjoyable (that would be most anyone NOT on the field - ha ha).  You always make us feel welcome and your hospitality is much appreciated - as is your tasty BBQ :)

I heard a few people discussing where next weeks game will be played. I thought it was a given we would be on the road against MU but some people were saying that may not be the case.

Thoughts?

umhb2001

I think it should be in Aliance, OH. UMU has been the top seed, so there's no reason it should be in Belton. If it is, all UMU fans should be upset. I have no problem with it being there.

Nah...not really.  When you have lost one game during the regular season in the last few decades, and your season ends in a minimum of the semi-finals for the last 18, I think "machine" definitely applies.

Don't worry Bleed......I (and almost every Mount fan) have given UWW the most ultimate respect.
