Try Massey ratings or Lazindex, computer rankings that usually aren't updated until Monday.

Laz has been this week:

I would really take Massey a lot more seriously if he would put the NESCAC in a separate ranking.

That or figure out a way to rank them realistically

What's it matter but I cannot reason why LINFIELD jumped UMHB in d3 Top 25 this week?

The Crusaders looked like a football team in the warm-ups. They are very confident in running the ball. Hudson could get 25 yards any carry so he's entertaining.  I liked the fullback. Humongous! Runs very well.

The passing was sharp as need be and the end of the third quarter was starting to get boring and the CRU lost some sharpness.
BTW, several Crusaders were cramping up in that delightful 70 degree weather for the game.

Linfield was only one point out of 6,125 behind UMHB in preseason and is only three points ahead now. Preseason was six weeks ago. Only takes a person or two to change their mind for that to happen.

The UMHB game was one of the few games that I actually got to watch. I really like what I saw, especially the O-line, I think they had the staff of Moses, the way those holes were opening. Nevertheless, I think that they only could get better and looks like a team that is on their way back to the playoffs. Hopefully, no one is looking past Kean, I have seen some interesting things happen over the last few years.

Top 10 reasons why Linfield jumped UMHB in the Poll.

10. UMHB Margin of victory was too narrow for a #3 team on opening weekend.
9.  Voters in the eastern time zone fell asleep during the UMHB game
8.  The terrain around McMinnville OR is more scenic than Belton TX.
7.  One of the voters got gastritis when he ate at Schoepf's last time.
6.  CRU wears the wrong shade of purple.
5.  UMHB was founded by Southern Baptists, not American Baptists.
4.  "Open date" was a more highly respected opponent than Redlands.
3.  Stadium envy by the rest of Division III.
2.  George W Bush's Ranch is just an hour north of Belton.

And the real reason why Linfield jumped UMHB in the poll

1. East Coast Bias.   (Texas is the most likely state to be voted "off the island".)     ;)   :)    :D    8-)

I love Ralph, but wouldn't 'East Coast Bias' make Wesley the team to jump UMHB?  Even for a paranoid Texan, Linfield is hardly east coast! ;D

UP with the PURPLE!

That is one hell of a stadium!!  Wow!  I haven't seen one like that since the Division II North Greenville game several years ago (although Capitol's field house comes in at a close second!).  That is impressive, indeed!
