sadly the weather between here and Belton is making the trip a no.   :'( I'll be watching on the net.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

35 is not that cold guys, and high of 41 and rain? That's not bad outside the rain. You can come here and feel true cold if you want to 18 with 20 mph winds!

We know!  On the other hand, in early September, a 6pm kickoff on the turn in 99 degree weather (yeah, it had cooled down from the high of 103) and 70% humidity is warm.

What most of us notice is that change in temperature range.  We were in the 80's earlier this week. A 50 degree plunge is miserable, whether it is from 80's to 30's or from 40's to sub-zero.

Of course when the wind is blowing 35 miles per hour, and it blows the second half kickoff back over the kicker's head in Belton High School stadium in the 2008 playoffs, then that is a wind!   :P

It's cold when you are not used to it.

The other thing you have to understand is that being on the roads in Texas if any winter precip does develop is hazardous to your health.    Very limited ability to put anything useful down on the roads and we don't know how to drive on ice.

The rain suit I bought when I lived in Oregon is going to be very helpful today -- warm & dry. : )

im fine with the cold. The problem is I live 200 miles away and it's raining, sleeting and snowing from here to there. They don't really treat roads here so ice is a real problem, and I'd have to round trip it today. I'll be down there for thanksgiving Wednesday so next Saturday is a go assuming victory today.

Congratulations to UMHB on the win. You guys have a great program and what looks like a fantastic stadium. Redlands needed to play mistake free football to have a remote chance at a win and that obviously didn't happen today. Good luck the rest of the way, see you back here for the first game of the 2014 season.

I missed out today, but I'm hoping to make the Linfield game. :-X

Crew wins, but a rather lackluster performance, even with a 35-7 score.  Glad to have a win anyway and looking for better weather next weekend!

Ditto, Dr. Bawcom. We're thawing out on our way back to Central Louisiana. Looking forward to next week and Round Two against Rowan.
