UMHB wants it to be a "Purple Out" but I have a feeling its goin to be more of a "Camo Out" to stay warm. I know I'm going to be rockin quite a few layers of my huntin gear.
Do you mean that you take your hunting gear to a football game?   :o

"Hey Toby!  He wears his hunting gear to a football game!"

It might make it harder to count the number of fans in attendance.

Absolutely! I did when we played Redlands too! hoodies just don't cut it in this type of weather. I'm sure they'll be plenty of purple with the seats and all. I hope for a better turn out that what is anticipated.
If Blue Bell can come up with a purple CRUthedral vanilla ice cream, then maybe Cabela's can come out with a Purple Camo outfit for the really cold UMHB Playoff games in December.   ;)

Shoot! I'd be on that! We'd be lookin like a bunch of colorblind rednecks though! haha

I'm thinkin that the final will be

UMHB 38
SJF 7

The CRU D will have to figure out the SJF offense the first drive, but I think it'll be lights out after that. I don't expect another "march" like Rowan did on their first drive.

I agree with this. I don't think SJF will have much production on O. The Cru D is too strong. Hudson might have a big game if the conditions don't allow much passing.

"Behind QB Tyler Fenti, SJFC has thrown the ball well. That might be their best option, even in bad weather, as the Cru (63 y/g, four rush TDs allowed all season) is built to stop the run. Six defenders have double-digit tackles for losses, and and Fisher only averages 3.6 yards per carry this season — 4.4 by top back Cody Miller — anyway. Meantime, Cru RB Elijah Hudson, who has missed three games this season, appeared at full strength last week, with 23 carries for 136 yards against Rowan."

I hope the field is better than the roads in abilene. we had a visit from Sammy Sleet yesterday.

I think that the SJF fans have been the most enoyable that we have encountered on the message boards! +1!

As long as you don't come off like the St. Thomas fans we're normally OK...

Except Booby, he's an asshole...
Take it from me.  I know a booby when I see it!

Sorry, I just had to....

As long as we aren't talking about moobs here then it's all good!!!

Kidding of course, Boobs is a good dood...

If you couldn't tell my disclaimer on the bottom of my signature I'm the asshole of the SJF conglomerate...
Taking Ralph's profession into consideration makes the booby comment funnier.

Strip Club Owner or Pimp?
;D Better. He's a gynecologist. 8-) Ralph knows a booby when he sees one.
;)   ;D   8-)

Women take their shirts off at the Gynecologist Office???   ???

Thanks for someone finally saying this. Hello??

My prediction for SatErday's game:

UMHB- 37
SJF- 24

I think SJF's offense will surprise you. They have a good sized O-line (LT- 6'4" 280, LG- 6'3" 325, C- 6'1" 255, RG- 6'2" 300, RT- 6'4" 270) and love to run inside zone to chew clock and make LBers creep towards the line of scrimmage to allow passing lanes behind them. Their TE is 6'4", 270 and is basically an extra Tackle on the field. Their two threats at WR compliment each other nicely. Nigolian is 6'3", 200lbs and can jump out of a gym. He's great at posting up defenders and using his body to shield the ball from the DB. The other WR, Francis, has decent size at 6'0" and 180 but can fly.

Fenti can chuck the ball but can also throw back shoulder throws with accuracy. He's made really good decisions on the year (Completed 65% of his passes and has a 2.3 INT% on his pass attempts). He's mobile, he wont wow you with speed but slides in the pocket to let plays develop.

I'm not saying they're going to come in and drop 40pts and win in a shoot out but these guys aren't dog meat.

Twisted Jedi/Star Wars reference Ralph has taken...hmmmmmmmmm?
No, I didn't miss it. I just tried to think of a snappy reply like a Jedi mindtrick for the weak-minded readers, but I thought, "No, this is a D3board. The weak-minded readers are all trash talking on some D1 twitter account."

+1, 91!   :)

It looks like the wet weather has broken for the next 24 hours. I think that SJF did okay if they flew into Austin instead of DFW.  As long as it is dry, then I believe that we will have a fair test of the football teams.  The temperatures should be in the mid 30's tomorrow, (kinda balmy for Upstate New York   :) ).  But hey, it is December, and we are still playing D-3 football in Texas. :)

Thank goodness...I know all flights between Corpus and Dallas were cancelled today.
