May try to make it up and back on Saturday to see the game but probably won't know until Thursday or Friday.  I know nothing of the new stadium...do I need to had any worry about getting a ticket for a seat?  Should I buy one early in the week just in case?

If I make it, I'll be the one wearing purple.  It'll just be purple for the only purple semifinal team not in Belton on Saturday!

A really good question. The attendance for games has been lackluster at best. My hope is that with all of the Facebook announcements and word of mouth, there will be a good showing. I know they have everyone's email address who has purchased season tickets and they will be getting an email. I'd love to see a rowdy, packed house, but who knows.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

the stadium seats 8k+ and SRO takes it to almost 10k. I'm sure you can get in. If you want to insure a good seat, you can prepurchase. I also think they set aside reserved seats for the visitors so you may be able to get them any way depending on how many come from Wisconsin.
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

I think a couple of cold weather games has hurt the game attendance; however, it did not seem to hurt the enthusiasm of the crowd.  I'm looking forward to seeing more folks with the temp expected to be in the 50s.
I'm sure the UWW fans are feeling rather confident with their win last week and their wins over UMHB; however, I think this year's CRU on truly on a mission and are more than determined to finish out the season winning in the Stagg Bowl.
Come on all you Crusader fans and make noise and support a great team in a super venue!!!

I'm so glad that UMHB is hosting this week, and that we have the later game. This opens the opportunity for me to bring out my grill and tailgate one last time in Texas! Great weather, friends, food, stadium, game and to top it off ESPN will be there!!! Let's show the world the CRUthedral!!

So if I'm reading it right, tickets go on sale to the general public tomorrow and can be purchased over the telephone.  Right?

Yes, tomorrow after 12 I believe. By phone, in person, or online are the options.

Decision made.  I'm buying my ticket in a little while and doing the round trip on Saturday.  Only thing left is to make sure my sermon's done and choose if I take the back roads between Corpus Christi and Austin, or if I just take 37 up to to San Antonio and go from there.

As far as game day goes, what do I need to know?  Is there tailgating to wander through?  Is parking close to stadium? Do I need earplugs?   :)  Feel free to PM me if you don't want to take up the board with this stuff.

Jay,

Stron recommendation to take 37 to SA then I-10 to Seguin and take the 130 Toll Road all the way to north of Georgetown. It is 80 MPH all the way to Austin, then drops to 75. Very little traffic.

There is all kinds of parking. Everything is walking distance at UMHB. There are a couple lots that have shuttles to take you to the stadium and back to your car.

Tailgating does happen, though not as much as I'd like to see happen. If you happen to wander through, look for the 2 red trucks with flags flyin and an awesome grill. I'll hook you up with some goodies. Tailgating is in the lot across from the rec fields between lots A & B.

No ear plugs needed, just yell loud for the CRU!

Thanks for the info and invite.  I'll probably stop by the two red trucks sometime before kickoff.  Took a while but I got my ticket about 40 minutes after they said they'd be on sale.  I think I'm in the last seat at the end of the stadium, first row upper level.  Still should be fun.  Looking forward to a great game!
