Welcome newest provisional member Belhaven to the ASC beginning 2015:

Question is, will Hal Mumme still be the head coach by then?

My question is, did Mumme know they were making the jump before he made his?

Speaking of questions, anybody see the UMHB 2014 schedule featuring a number of good match ups include TLU?

I saw it today. Cant wait to get the new season started. I will make the 6pm home games for sure.
Go CRU!

McMurry suffered the loss of one of her most beloved "friends" this week. Anyone who has had more than a passing encounter with McMurry athletics knew of "Coach" Neel Lemond.  His love, loyalty and dedication to the Indian/War Hawk athletic program were legendary.

Former McMurry SID Kyle Robarts has written eloquently of the numerous encounters with Coach Lemond in other forums. The expressions of love and sympathy for Coach Lemond have lit up Facebook pages across the McMurry family.

Here is the obituary, published in the Abilene Reporter-News.

RIP Coach Lemond.

Thanks for sharing this, Ralph.  I passed it along to Jennifer and Lyn.

It's baaaaack!

Like an old movie line...
The drive to Mississippi, that is.
And, it is 14 miles farther this time.    ::)

So anyone know what was the point of McMurry leaving only to rejoin? Is there something to this story that I don't know? Any light that can be shed on the situation would be appreciated.
Go CRU!

Old leadership/board members had delusions of grandeur.

New leadership looked at the numbers a couple of years later, saw it was a huge money/culture suck, and reversed the decision.

So will there be a natural animosity between McM and Belhaven?
My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Thanks Ron. My thoughts exactly Toby.
Go CRU!

MHB Fans, I notice UR will play you guys at 6pm, instead of 7. Any reason for this start time? This means early outs at 4:30 ....
My first thought is UR ask for it so they can catch a plane to go home that night, since they fly commercial, unless they drive to Dallas in the middle of the night I don't think 6 or 7pm start matters. I doubt they could get back to LA in the middle of the night either way.

Redlands may have asked for a certain time but when we play night games at home they are basically all at 6. Not sure the reason but that seems to be the case every year no matter the opponent.

Both Redlands and Belton are hot in September, Our boys will have had many practices at 100 degrees,  but the humidity is much different.
