I would guess that is right, Cru.

Anyone make it out to the scrimmage yesterday at the Cruthedral? The freshman got their gut check. OLine did not look pretty and passing was erratic at best. The D brought some good hits and the special teams looked OK. Is this normal for us or what?

I believe that and more. Huge numbers on the sidelines for yesterday's scrimmage and none of the Varsity players were down there.

Ralph, I sent a reply to your message, actually a couple of them, did you get them?  When I check my sent items there are no messages so I want to make sure that the message got to you.

Kickoff 2014 is released!

We went live at 11 a.m. CT today. As always, we appreciate those of you from this board who have subscribed. This helps us pay the bills, keeps the site free of pop-up ads and the like and makes sure we can provide quality Division III coverage across the board.

If you haven't subscribed, we would love it if you would. Thanks for supporting everything we do here at D3football.com!

We're currently looking for a few more folks who would like to be part of the Top 25 Fan Poll this season over on the General Football board.  There's currently 7 people participating but very little representation from the east and south regions. Our poll even was mentioned in an edition of Around the Nation a couple seasons ago comparing our results to that of the "major" polls. Do you think you can come up with a better ballot than the experts? This is your chance ;)

To participate all you have to do is submit your ballot by PM to me by Tuesdays. Votes for each team may be revealed but no one's ballot will be revealed unless the person announces it themselves.

Preseason ballots are due by Sunday August 31st, but if you're interested and need a couple extra days let me know. :)

Good luck to everyone in the ASC this season.

Looking at your rosters, does anyone have some kids you are excited to see this year?

Baylor Mullins is at the top of my list for UMHB! Quick reflexes and instinct made him a name that was called frequently last year. His move from LB to secondary is going to light some people up!

Robbie Seybold, the athletic WR from Cove! Kid has quickness. Look for him to make some noise! Sorry Pat, but I disagree that he will challenge Zach Anderson for QB duties!

Eric Nelson, underutilized last year, especially on our last offensive play, I look to him for more catches as I expect he and Zach are looking to light it up.

I'll be interested in seeing what transfers Blake Jackson and Jacob O'Neil bring, especially the latter as special teams is so important to football, especially The Cru!

I didn't say he would challenge Anderson. I said he would challenge to be the No. 2.
