It seems that after this year, we will lose the Auto bid to the playoffs until 2018ish. Is that right Pat? I was trying to catch up with all the posts, but I may have missed a few.

In other news, The CRU looked pretty good the few times I've seen em. There definitely will be some fun at QB between Zach and the transfer. I've heard a RG3/ Luck comparison between the two. 1 MORE DAY! I just hope the stream from that school in Mississippi is great because I'm havin withdrawals

The ASC should have an automatic bid in 2015 as well but after that, it should indeed lose the AQ until Belhaven/McMurry becomes eligible.

In the interim, too, if Tyler or another school already in the league added football, the ASC would get the automatic bid back when that team takes the field.

Have you heard anything lately about UT-Tyler Pat, I know there was some talk a while back but haven't hear anything lately on them. Would be very interesting to see what would happen if they started up a program and put some effort behind it.
Nothing that I am hearing either.

As I understand it, these are the obstacles.
UT-Tyler would need to increase the student activity fee to pay for the sport.
The Campus does not have the space for facilities (as they want to do it).
Title IX considerations are a concern.

I heard there may have been a record broken last night. I am not sure if I should be surprised by the score or disappointed.

One more day until the 2014 season kicks off. Here is one more short video to whet the appetite of the UMHB faithful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FcLj2IDbhUs

I just realized that December 11, 2014 will be the 10th Anniversary of "The Catch" - Josh Welch to Walter Sharp for the winning touchdown over Mount Union in Ohio. http://usatoday30.usatoday.com/sports/college/football/games/2004-12-11-division-iii-roundup_x.htm

If The CRU is still alive in the playoffs, I hope that moment can be commemorated.

TAMUC put three TDs on the board in the fourth quarter, guess they were worried that a 58-point lead wasn't enough.

The record set was D2 total yardage.   Woo.

Good luck this year UMHB fans.  You were a good group of people when our paths crossed last year!  And this just in...your team is pretty decent  :)

Maybe St. John Fisher will be fortunate enough to make the playoffs again this year and increase the chance of a rematch!  Only this time it would be very kind if we could play in Rochester instead of Belton.  If you want to be polite that is...

Game Day! CRUising to Jackson, Miss., to support UMHB as it begins a season The CRU faithful hope will conclude in Salem, Va.

UP with the PURPLE!

boobyhasgameyo,

Hope St. John Fisher has a season to remember. However, if we do meet again in the playoffs we much prefer the comfy confines of The CRUtherdral over any other venue.  8-)
