Keep us updated on the injured player. I know UR did something that I am proud of during the game and your commentators picked up on...i.e   huddled up and said a prayer for him when things looked serious.

I really believe your team is better this year than last year...D - Line overall is better, linebackers are off the hook. Skills all back and all but one key O linemen are back...Your offense will keep improving every week. The only player that is not better is at RB...but there is talent. When one plays MHB they have to get ready against your Wildcat and your version of the read offense. A lot of work for any D early in the season.

Don't know the exact injury but Lamar is out for the whole season, I imagine Coach Pete will have something to day about it on his coaches show tommorow.
from today's Temple Daily Telegram:
Quote"It will be up to him if he wants to apply for a medical hardship and go through all of the rehab to play again," Crusaders coach Pete Fredenburg said Monday. "It's a devastating injury."
The 6-1, 250-pound Seels was injured on the first snap from scrimmage Saturday in No. 2-ranked UMHB's 36-0 home win over Redlands (Calif.), dislocating his right knee while trying to make a tackle.
Doctors, trainers and emergency medical technicians treated him for almost 20 minutes on the field, giving him intravenous fluid and stabilizing the leg before taking him away on a stretcher.
"Once they got an IV in him on the field and his muscles were able to relax, they were able to get the knee back into place," Fredenburg said. "The nerve and the artery in his leg are fine. What's tore up is the ACL, MCL, tendons and the like. They're going to operate on Friday."

Uggh. Horrible for the kid. Hope all goes well and he recovers fully. You just hate, absolutely hate, to hear about these kind of injuries.

Yep lived it with my kids, the amount of work it takes to come back and compete at a high level, and not loose a step is very tough, a ton of painful hard work. This will take over a year to be 100%. Sure with in six months he will be able to run on a straight line, but watch anyone with a major knee injury they do not look normal for over a year...even though released to play sometimes sooner. Hate this part of the game.

New starter is 5-10, 260 pound Sophomore Tevin Mason. Backing him up, a Freshman listed at 6-4, 290!

Been there myself, acl my senior year...and the road back is very difficult but also the mental and spiritual battle is difficult as well, I would believe everyone on this board wishes him the very best and a solid recovery. But I also believe that he will not be far from this team and helping to keep them grounded and motivated, a lot can be learned from adversity.

Congrats to Baylor Mullins for his D3 team of the week selection, and his ASC defensive player of the week selection. Saturday's performance was fun to watch. And lest we forget, he also served as the punter punting 6 times for 247  yds with a long of 54 yds and 3 punts inside the 20.

Definitely echo the congrats to Baylor, he is great and should only get better. On his punting wow, kid has a powerful leg and his athletic ability is going to give us some nice opportunities in the future if we need to fake a punt.

itS also nice to know that if a returner gets loose, he isn't just running over our punter  ;D
