Slow burn...just ramp up each game as you move forward and be set to 11 at playoff time. Loved seeing Duane Thompson today but the D...what a day! I know they are treated like the drummers in a rock band, but our D was outstanding. And just as the D3 Podcasters said, if UMHB came and left no doubt, then they handled their business and I would say they did indeed leave no doubt. That should pretty much quiet down the MU minions screaming for the #2 spot, and answer pretty well why TLU is not ranked in D3...

So we have HSU. HP and ETBU to focus on, let's keep this ramp up going and then step into pool play executing far above normal.

Now off to my Steak, nice beverage and then the post game hand rolled Ceeeegar....

P.S. It was great seeing the Cru-Nation that made the trip, we were able to somewhat see ya'll and it's fantastic you made the trip....Adds that much more to your team

I think that the Cru-Nation came pretty close to having more fans than TLU, if not it was pretty close!

The showing of Cru supporters was great! We nearly had more than they did at the beginning, but certainly did at the end. This really helped the team.

This was by far the best game we have played this year. I hope this is a stepping stone to bigger things.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

I was glad to be amongst the Crunation present in Seguin for the game today. Great job Cru, keep improving on the road to Salem.

As I said before the game, Barrolle is good, but he is Withler Marcelin in the South Region.

96 yards on 20+ carries. Over 100yds under his average! :o

It is a great day to be a crusader!! I'm eager to see how the rest of the season pans out. The Baptist Brawl is next week and then 2 straight weeks of high scoring offenses. Hopefully we'll see similar results from today on the 8th & 15th. I plan on being at ETBU to see the Cru wrap up the season with a car load of students! Up with the purple!

I just got back from Seguin. Wow, what a day! The CRU Nation showed up in force and The CRU played a complete game. The defense was just smothering.

TLU fans did not outnumber The CRU faithful by many. Mynestimate is 1000+ UMHB fans were in attendance. By game's end, The CRU nation outnumbered Bulldog fans.

TLU came out and hit UMHB in the mouth. The CRU spit out a couple of teeth and responded with a dominating performance.

Just wow!

Hey Kelly you got a mention in the LC/ ETBU game broadcast...I took some glee in the stunned play by from the TLU side like, ya'll really didn't have a clue what could be coming? So I jumped over to the LC/ETBU game and it was a fun one to watch. Was able to catch the last of the HSU/HP game and the post game...let's say HP's coach is not happy...And ended up in the west coast watching Redlands monkey stomp and then watched a quirky Pomona Pitzer win....Today had to be the most fun day of D3 college football to watch....Gotta give credit where it is due and that goes to Jon and Coach, great play by and they have a good positive attitude no matter what, and a hat tip to the road video crew, we appreciate what you guys and girls do...
Actually to all those people out there no matter what program or school your at,  you definitely hear it when things go bad, but you should be praised for the hard work you do. I like seeing different games and productions, some are really bare bones and some are great and pretty elaborate, but it takes your time and talent to get it out there and your the unsung heroes...So a big thanks to the color commentators, the spotters, camera people, techs etc etc etc...

Hey, Morregen. you truly are D3 afficiando and a CRU fan.  I hope we have the opportunity to meet one day.

The following quotes are from the Seguin Gazette's report of UMHB vs TLU:

"Several things were made clear Saturday at Bulldog Stadium in Seguin.
Among those? The sky is still blue, grass is still green and Mary Hardin-Baylor is still frighteningly good at football."

"The Cru (7-0) shattered the Bulldogs' dreams of a signature win by powering their way to a 72-16 rout behind 56 unanswered points in the contest."

"TLU (6-1) led 6-3 in the first quarter following a pair of Tyler Brandenburg field goals, but after that, UMHB began to resemble the juggernaut that has now won 51 consecutive regular season contests."

"Mary Hardin-Baylor's defense was as good as advertised on Saturday, picking off three passes in the contest while keeping TLU running back Marquis Barrolle under wraps for much of the game.
Barrolle broke loose for a 33-yard run on the first play from scrimmage but was held to 91 yards on 24 carries on the afternoon."

After Barrolle's first run, The CRU held him to 2.5 yards per carry on his other 23 carries.

It was a CRUstomp!

Kinsey is a senior so let's hope his injury is not too severe and he can be back for the playoffs.

I have not seen a Hardin-Simmons fan on the forum in a month of Sundays. I wonder if any will make an appearance this week with the Cowboys making their first trip to The CRUthedral?
