Yeah, 7 regular season home games.  Gonna definitely get our money's worth out of those season tickets.   8-)

Was glancing around at scores from this weekend, did anyone catch the score of the McMurry game? They played Texas A&M Commerce and lost 91-13, this is the same Commerce team that ETBU 98-20. It seems the Lions can put up some serious points even against the better teams on their schedule, I would be very intrigue to see UMHB go up against a team like that, but at the same time would never want us to waste a regular season game on it.
78 point deficit for both ETBU and McMurry against TAMUC.

McMurry has returned to D3 parity (especially with all of the injuries McMurry has this late in the season).

Glad to hear from you on this Ralph, am I reading you right that at this point McMurry would be an average D3 team?

So listened to the podcast and heard something that peaked my interest. That Wesley played against "College of Faith" from what I understand this CoF is a sham school, not really a school if you can call it that. My questions would be, Wesley is a hell of a program why would they do that? After looking into this it seems this is a made up school and is shady as all get out. Even worse, Mississippi College played them too... Crap, I liked Mississippi what gives....Anyone???

Actually that was University of Faith that Mississippi College played. Different "school", this one is in St. Petersburg, FL. College of Faith is in Charlotte. They are supposed to be playing each other this weekend.

I 'faithfully' predict they will somehow find a way to BOTH lose. :P

Wesley, until next year, is an independent. Scheduling 10 games for an elite independent is absolutely brutal. They take games where they can get them most years. This year's slate including 6 D3 games, and 4 out of division games that has them travel to Alabama, California and North Carolina. Since Wesley is joining the NJAC next year, they couldn't offer home and home games, making it even harder to schedule. Most D3 programs are full of conference games for the last 6-8 weeks of the season. Who is going to play Wesley in October and November? Concordia Selma, Menlo, Virginia University of Lynchburg and College of Faith aren't good games for Wesley to play, but they were about the only ones they could play. UNC-Charlotte is a second year FCS school, and that will be Wesley's last game.

Ugly, ugly, ugly, and I'm sure Coach Dross will be happy next year not to suffer the challenge of finding games for the Wolverines to play every year. But this year, yeah, COF was a placeholder, and the game was every bit as bad as you'd have expected.

They are facing an FCS opponent (UNC Charlotte) in a couple of weeks.  I'm very interested to see the result of that game.

They were good enough to beat D1FCS Houston Baptist in the opener. You certainly get beat up in a higher division (and even in your own Conference. Cue the LaQuon Treadaway video clip from the Ole Miss Auburn Saturday night game.)

We all are!  Wesley beat them last year, but Charlotte is a better team this time around.  I think Wesley is too, so that game will be one to watch.
