The NCAA could save themselves SO much time if they would just hire Pat and company to do the regional rankings, since d3football consistently understands the criteria so much better than they do.    There are so many instances of the AA incorrectly applying their own rules, especially when it comes to selection and ranking criteria.    It happens all the time.

One of the things about the committee is that there is turnover every year, and this year there are FOUR new members instead of the usual two or three.

On the other hand, we rarely have any turnover here at D3football.com. :)

It's the final GAME DAY of the regular season.  Go Cru!  Finish strong and carry that momentum into the playoffs!

Go Cru, put no doubt in NCAA D3's mind that UMHB will be the force to deal with during the playoffs all the way to the Stagg Bowl!

Some ASC updates:

Well, aside from the first few minutes of the game, the Cru has pretty much dominated the game so far.  42-6 at the half.

LC leads HSU 21-14.

SRSU is smothering HPU somewhere in the neighborhood of 33-0.

My wife and I are Alumni of both UMHB and HSU.  You think you are confused, my kids don't know which Purple and Gold team to pull for.

Does anyone know the specifics on Deshon Kinsey's injury? Everything I've read seems to indicate he will be back at some point, but I know he has been out for weeks now. Hopefully it isn't serious, the CRU will need a dominant backer if they plan to make a title run this year. Any updates?

The coaches show on Tuesday said he was fine and would be ready to go for the playoffs. I could see him sitting out this week, though.

Hopefully the same love the Cru got after their win against HSU will be given to UWW and MU as they also had close wins. Closer than UMHB's I might add.

It seems that The Cru had a pretty solid game except for the little hiccup at the beginning of the game. I think the one thing that The Cru could work on is having the offense stay a little longer on the field giving the defense some rest time. Going into the playoffs only 58 will be able to dress out and we won't have the luxury of putting in the second and third string to give the starters a little break. It will be nice seeing Deshon back out on the field.

HSU losing doesn't help UMHB out with the regional ranking.

New to the board here.  Big Cru fan.  Watched them since they started football from the beginning.  Read the board for years and finally decided to join.  Noticed some of the Cru faithful on here drive from a good distance off to watch home games.  I'm fortunate enough to live about 15 minutes away and also have close ties to UMHB.  Wife works there and have two students there currently and a third will be there in a couple years.

I don't think the CRU will have anything to worry about. Heading into the weekend, the most likely scenario was that CRU would have home field until the semi's and then travel to either UW-W or Mount (if UW-W and/or Mount holds serve and makes it to the semi's).  Nothing this weekend will change that.  Whether #1 or #2 in the South Region, they will be a #1 seed nationally.
