West bound and down, loaded up and truckin' -- Belton or bust! Hope to see many of you at The CRUthedral tomorrow.

UP with the PURPLE!

Kelly, don't forget your rain gear! Belton is set for 100% chance of rain and very strong thunderstorms! The high of 68 should help stir up the weather and there is talk of conditions being ripe for a tornado in the area.

Lets hope that the only strong winds we see in Belton is The Cru moving rapidly up and down the field!

Yeah, weather is not looking good for the game.  Well, rain or shine, I'll be there!  Let's just hope the lightning keeps its distance.

Just to be on the safe side, The Cru better score quick and often so if the game has to be called we'll be ahead when they call it!

I would guess that the game will have several delays tomorrow here in Belton. With lightning and possible hail/tornadic activity, it could be a long day.

I don't know what the rules for playoff games are, I tried to look them up, but I would guess that they would either finish the game tomorrow or postpone till Sunday.

Anyone else know?

There is no rain delay rule, only for lightening and that's 30 minutes. I'm sure that when the coaches meet with the NCAA official before the game, they will discuss the possibilities. Looking at the weather, it shouldn't get too wicked until 2pm. I'm sure they'll delay it until play can resume. I doubt they'll postpone it unless the weather is horrindous before it starts.

The only delay I've seen stop a game from continuing was the HSU/ Southwestern game this year, but that was 3 lighting delays and they called it at midnight...

I saw it two years ago TLU vs SAGU 4 or 5 lighting delays. Had to wait 30 minutes after last lighting strike within  x(don't remember) amount of miles. They said we had to restart before I think 10pm so after 9:31 and another lighting strike and having to wait 30 minutes the game was called.

I believe most of the bad weather is supposed to move out between 4-6 pm. Obviously, with the two schools so close and it being the playoffs, they won't just call it and award a winner. Surely it would play out into the evening or tomorrow.

I agree. But since there's not much of a precedent, there's no tellin what will happen. If it's bad and shows it dissipating by 6, I'm sure they'll play under the lights.

OMG, the NCAA's version of live stats is SO incredibly lame.

I know right? I get home, see that Wesley scored 42 in the first quarter and thought "Wow. How'd they do that?" Still don't really know. No play-by-play or even a scoring summary? Weak.

Anybody have an update on when/if the game may resume today?
