We're waiting at my in-laws about 10 minutes south of the UMHB campus in Salado. Weather not good here right now - 4:40 p.m.

Heh, I live in Salado.  We had our power knocked out for a good hour and a half or so.  Just came back up.

Still no update on when play will resume, wesleydad.

Yeeesh!  Another lightning delay.

jaypeter

Yeah, and a thin but strong line of rain heading right for belton, too.  Looks like a long delay is likely, but not as long as the first one!

cowbell

Gosh.  Another one.  I can't believe this.

Short sample size but this weather may pay a part here.  TLU had shown they plan on running clock and ball,  successfully grinding out third down after third down before the first delay.  UMHB got both scores off deep passes while TLU stacked the box.  If the weather can negate their ability to throw,  it is well suited for TLU to keep handing off the rock and load the box.  Promising outlook if you're a Bulldog.

Have to agree with you timtlu.  I think this may help TLU more than it does UMHB.  The CRU seem to get rolling and then just keeps building off of the momentum it creates.  This starting and stopping effects the CRU more.  However if the rain can stop completely and a dry ball rotated in on every play to throw, the receivers could become even more wide open on routes with the advantage of knowing where they are going to make cuts.

Baylor is about 45 miles due north of Belton. Pretty much the same weather. The Bears are playing away & The CRU sits and waits.

I feel bad for these kids, no one wants to have to deal with this with their season on the line.

The weather is also moving due north almost. Very different weather.   Just like how this game was perfectly fine during second warmup then changed in a matter of minutes

What the hell was that?  That was a Drop-kick.  Drop-kick? How much is that worth?  Three points.  THREE POINTS?!

TLU02SA

TLU's Twitter says that if they have not restarted by 10:30 pm, then the coaches will meet to determine whether game is continued until tomorrow.  Waiting is...making me tired.  Looks like it will be a long night.
