You know, with all the places that DIII Football is played, it's interesting to think how frequently the weather becomes a significant part of the story in Central Texas.

Gusty wind blowing a kickoff backwards...an ice storm last year causing some to wonder if Whitewater would be able to travel (the weather the day of the game was chilly, but just fine)...and now looking like the possibility of a game lasting more than 24 hours!

Yeah, I know what the weather here in TX can be like, but it's still surprising that it's UMHB that keeps getting the weather stories.

curious to know how many are still hanging around the stadium on the chance it resumes.  Is the student union (or whatever building is directly behind the visitor side) full of fans waiting?

Getting the feeling the outcome might be out of the player's hands

We have to be careful of the player's safety utmost. When I moved from LINFIELD to Kissimmee, FL, my prospective landlord told me a junior high team nearby was struck in the huddle and 9 of 11 kids died.  I took it as exaggeration but learned later what a killer lightning is in Florida.

We need to invest in either
1. A dome
or
2. A weather pressure generator to influence the weather patterns to our liking

Kickstarter anyone?

Yeah the same thing happened in a soccer match.. like 7 players were killed.. sad thing was the opposing side cheered as they said it was their witchcraft that did them in... Do we have any witches anywhere around this game???

Right now there is a small contingent of fans hanging out in the buildings because they're not letting anyone in the stadium. Lightning is hammering the area an they still want to play tonight.

For the most part, but when it started back briefly earlier, WAIT

Just heard the game is called till tomorrow at 11:00.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

TLU02SA

Game called until 11:30 tomorrow morning.

Isn't it every college football player's dream to be playing on Sunday?  Sorry, couldn't resist.....  Hope tomorrow's weather is better for you guys.

jaypeter

Thank goodness they finally called it...now I can concentrate on finishing my sermon for tomorrow morning!

I was wondering about how all the churches in Belton would feel about playing on Sunday.

+ jaypeter.
If you mention football at all, please say a prayer for Parker Archie Moore.  I would imagine you're aware of that LINFIELD tragedy.

Sucko. Best case for UMHB. I really think they underestimated TLU today.  With tonight's scare,  will they come out more focused tomorrow?  Weather should be ideal so you would think that opens up the one on one's on the corners for them too. Momentum could be a key with TLU posed to score.  I would think a much better fan presence tomorrow.  With a good crowd and pent up anxiety from sitting around all day by the players, a TLU score or a UMHB stop on the resumption of today's drive could really set either team up to take advantage of lady Mo.
